:D:D im so glad someone else is enjoying the snow as much as i am!
  3. no longer need a shovel to park. I use the same spot every day and im parking higher and higher as i pack the snow. :-p
  4. I love the blue lights so much. It has snowed 3 ft. Im having so much fun just parking in lots with snow to My doors! The pedals are so nice with my snow boots on! Many subaru drivers of all ages smile at my Fern and I.
  5. i like how boxy it is :-p I have done some other small things... MoMo Grippy pedals for my snowy boots. I drilled and mounted the clutch and brake pedal then removed the gas pedal assembly. Drilled and mounted the pedal on top of the existing plastic pedal. I like them and i use the tabs for heel toe down shifting. Got some blue led foot lights and dome lights... I love it because at night the snow glows blue when i open my door!
  6. yes there are 2 holes one for drain and one for filter. I needed to shave out a bit of one side of drain hole so the plug would freely clear. here is the original: I had to cut down the sides to where i wanted to bend it because of the cool kinks!! it has access holes in it like this one The rear is 3/16 5052 airplane grade aluminum as well. Its nice to know its there as a slider and it looks cool when your following me. :-p
  7. i liked the thick aluminum idea for a skid as the roads are salted often and this sucker is light! Paul at primitive racing is great. I got this plate and rear dif guard from him. The front skid was cut and bent by my friend tyson at parks offroad here in Mt shasta. We cut off some of the sides and bent the plate in 2 places, then bent up the sides. Its 3/16 5052 airplane grade aluminum in research we found not to heat with the bend so we just used a press bender for the 2 main bends, then we bent up the corners using the custom bed of one of his wheelers and some clamps. Had the heatshields removed all the way and put in a small glasspack behind a magnaflow cat with magnaflow muffler. took all the rattle out of the 1.8. She sounds mild, nice n low but not loud. studs on 205/75/15s ebrake needed new pads is all... all good now. next is: 2.2 under 70,000, mud rat front bumper, sliders(all the way back over the rear mounts),viper 5000lb winch, roof basket w/(hi-lift,tire,shovel mount) AT grabbers 225/75/15s:D

    :-p Bottoms Up!
  9. im glad you kept this beauty!
  10. I parked my car at the gas station on a incline. My ebrake is not adjusted yet.. so i park in first. Well she started creeping forward slowly. Clunk,Clunk,Clunk. A good low mileage 2.2 is now on the list. This is one thing i really wanted. More power then my current 1.8 with 230,000 on it. (still sounds and drives great!) Gonna be a long save but in the end she will really be able to handle the big tires in 2wd hi. Especially when i get my 27.7s instead of the 28.8s on.
  11. :drunk::drunk:
  12. I like the engine you have in your car torxxx, mines a 1.8 but she does her job. The bar made me smile the first time i drove and gave her the swerving wag test. I do recommend this upgrade, I believe with it this way youll be ok with the stock welded in nuts in your subframe the lift bolts to.
  13. :cool:yeah buddy!!!
  14. :headbang:thanks scott, shes amazingly different! SO much quieter in the rear (no more rubbing springs) and handles better. With the front subframe and lift you made this thing is solid all around now!
  15. skid plate on hold for an aluminum welder source... SJR rear lift is now built tron-o-tough.. Had a buddy weld all the lift blocks and my perches as one. Then welded a square tube in to make the lift one piece. no more wag sir.:-p before... after :headbang:
  16. Just got back from alignment... Wow was she screwy! The shop got it really straight! On to skid plate fabrication....
  17. Just got camber bolts and installed in rear. Lookin' much more straight up and down now!:-p Shes ready for a professional alignment.
  18. :rolleyes:i think the pretty one wants to wheel. i mean look at it! it already knows how to roll over!
  19. cant wait to hear more about your install! Thanks for the updates! Come on USPS!
  20. Hey guys! Im wanting to make a skidplate for my impreza but have no where to start. The engine is sitting low compared to body so i need a kinked skid plate. Can you guys with body lifts and skid plates post pics of what u did? I may wait till i get a metal bumper to weld the plate to, then bolt it to the front jack-up point. my car what im looking for close up pics of, thanks.
  21. New transmission mounts and piece of rubber tire for bottom pad between trans and X-member. No more "rubberband drive"! Scott nice job on the X-member fabrication.... the mounts went in like stock!
  22. enjoying it even more now that shes past smog!! 1 magnaflow cat is all it took. idle----HCs(ppm) 100ppm max 17ppm average ##7ppm measured## 2500rpm---HCs(ppm) 130ppm max 12ppm average ##5ppm measured## idle----CO(%) 1.0% max .00% average ##.00% measured## 2500rpm---CO(%) 1.0% max .10% average ##.01% measured##
