i have a 90 loyale wagon with the e82t, my motor took a crap on me and im thinking of swapping it out to the non turbo one, is it worth it? and were can i pick up these engines used?

I'm going to do a compression test this weekend and go from there.

Edit* Just might be the turbo that went and not the heads/head gasket. I will be looking it over, where can I find a turbo for this car

Never done heads or head gaskets on this car before, any tricks or stuff I need to look for?

hey all i have a 90 subaru loyale turbo wagon, i had the car up for sale but now im throwing around the idea of just fixing it. it blew a head gasket but not sure if the head went as well. where can i get some good heads from? the car has 65k on it.

no major rust on the car, i fixed most of the body rust. here are some pics of the car

i was just so done with it and couldnt deal with taking everything apart again, i bought a 97 legacy right after so i just dont know what to do with this one, has tints hids fogs and i repainted the engine on it too.

hey guys i have a 90 loyale with the 1.8t in it, car has 55k original miles and is in good shape, i replaced lim gaskets and coolant hoses and radiator, well my head gasket went and i parked the car and now i want to get rid of it, how much would you guys think would be a good price to get rid of it? or is parting it better?

yes but I did an alternator starter and battery test, everything passed, my voltage stays above 12v even with my system and hids at night edit tomorrow I will try and touch the battery and see if thats the case, the odor usually comes if Im on the highway and I step on it

I did just change the alternator, I did a battery test at my shop and it passed, I was thinking maybe bad cat?

its a 90 loyale wagon with the ea82, just finished doing the LIM gaskets, new coolant hoses. new radiator and a new manifold. when I'm driving the car there is times when I try to get on it stumbles or hesitates, there is a smell of gas and sometimes on the highway I would get a bad odor smell ( rotten egg) . It used to happen before I did all the work to it but I thought it was because I the big exhaust leak I had on the manifold. well I got it fixed and its still there, any one have ideas or has had this happen to there car? thank you

well i really had no luck with the windshield, Im going this week to check out a place that he said he might have. Also does anyone have a spare Y pipe or up pipe? the whole setup up to the turbo?? I need one bad

hey I have a 90 loyale turbo wagon and I need a new windshield, there's a big crack on it and I cant find any place that has it, I went to the junkyards and nothing. Anyone know where I can pick a mint one up? also I need a up pipe to my turbo from the head, I believe this is whats causing the car to have kind of a hick up when sometimes accelerate? sorry for all the knewb question but one last finally one, I have a lim leak and am planning on changing the gasket, how hard of a job is it on this car? anybody with experience

I have a 1990 loyale turbo, I was wondering if any of you guys lowered them without doing the 5 lug conversion, if there is any springs that will work with them?

what rims are those?

anyone know a good muffler that will sounds good?

also would like to know what kind of rims I could fit on this car, I will get pics up as soon as I give it a wash.
