  1. So, I need to replace my struts on my 97 imp outback sport. Yup , they get unhappy at 190k! I thought maybe i'd put forrester struts/springs in to get some lift while i'm at it, but I hear the impreza doesnt handle very well on road with 3-4" higher FOR setup. This is a daily onroad car. My question, would outback or legacy struts/springs be less lift and a little more stable? I dont want to ad $250+ for risers.
  2. any updates on this Mod? Im itching to get more clearance in my 97 OBS. Would I need anything more than the 96-99 outback struts and springs? I heard something about arm brackets too... And would forrester strusts/springs be higher?
  3. Hey all, I inherited a 97 OBS about 2 years ago. Haven't given it any attention besides drive it to work and change oil (if i'm feeling generous). dont hate on me yet, ive been busy! Been restoring 70's honda motorcycles, and had a land rover discovery for a while (full time job hehe). Now im starting to look around for a new project and this car is right in my face. Nothing major, but I want to lift it a bit. I hear mentions of forrester and outback shocks, but will need to fish a little more on details. Any thread suggestions? Thanks!
  4. Hi there, newbie here with a 97OBS. I've been interested in doing the suspension switch myself. Been hearing mixed comments between getting forrester suspension or legacy suspension. Was this just a direct switch of struts, springs, and mounts? Anything I should know before jumping in? Thanks!
