  1. Yeah I dont know. I toying with the idea of selling my lifted loyale. Im kind of torn between that and an engine/drivetrain swap on it. I love it dont get me wrong but finding parts is starting to get harder and harder.

Im toying with the following ideas

    lifted baja

lifted crosstrek~ crawford performance inspired this idea

    https://crawfordperformance.com/pages/cpi-built-crosstrek

or just waiting and getting a new bronco when they come out.

i wouldnt mind a first gen bronco either but its hard to find one that hasnt been changed or super rusty.

I had a 94 full size and that thing was a beast....our epic flood was what it took to put that thing out of commision. Now that gen averages about 10k with extremely high miles....crazyness

  2. mudflaps installed

pulled the headlight and resealed it and reinstalled

ordered some forester overlays for all the subaru emblems. the f will be wrb and the surround will be carbon fiber

also ordered my elm327 obd2 bluetooth for my double din tablet install

  3. rally armour mudflaps should come in by thursday.

working on double din dash pod for a nexus install

making plans to go to bandimere on the 20th of sept for the street tuner challenge. should be a fun weekend. planning on going down friday night and staying at the great wolf lodge for the kids. saturday doing my own run up pikes peak and going to bandimere on sunday

Also working on jdm sti 6 speed conversion along with a methanol kit.

  4. my phone camera doesnt do them justice. they look much better in person. in bright light the color is the same as the wrb. in shade or night they look darker.

i love the look of them!

might be a while for next set of major mods. which is block heater/flex fuel and 6 speed. ive pretty much decided on a jdm forester 6 speed non dccd so i can keep my current hubs.

  8.

wheels should be here by end of day thursday. i am also planning on resealing the headlight thursday (day off) as well as installing some fog lights while i have the bumper off

  9. wow so after trying a bunch of places, I eventually got the konig myths through performance tire plus. discount tire says 3-5 days on their website but it seems a bunch of wheels are on back order and could take at least 6 to 8 weeks....possibly longer. I didnt want to wait that long.....patience is a virtue i dont have much of lol.

I ran out of time this weekend with schedule change at work but i ordered some 3m window seal off amazon. next thursday or friday i should be able to get my driver front headlight done. valley subaru wanted $420 for one headlight. Id rather try my hand at it then fork over that much.

    spoiler will be installed monday.

oh and to update, i have no more clunk. whiteline sway bar bushings and kartboy replacement endlink bushings did the trick and were an easy install

still havent figured out where i want to put the SSI sticker....it doesnt help that im not a sticker guy. I already want to debadge the trunk lid. i will take some pics of before and after spoiler install as well as current wheel/tire set and the new ones. hopefully all this takes place by next sunday!

currently also scouting out a forester sti non dccd 6 speed swap. may have to wait a while on that one though. I have a bunch of house things i need to do like rebuild my deck, new wood flooring in the kitchen and build a shed

  10. k got the new endlink bushings and sway bar bushings installed

got moisture in my headlight so thats my next project along with putting the spoiler on.

i ordered wheels but i went with a different wheel...

  11. so a slight update. i messed up the order for new kartboy endlinks. turned out to be a good thing because i found out kartboy makes replacement bushings for them. So i will be replacing all 4 endlink bushings and the sway bar bushings. while i have the sway bars out i will be repainting them black as well. please dont mind the dirt....i live in the woods on a dirt road

I will have the wheels and all season tires installed next month by this time as well

  12. update

so had to replace the slave cylinder due to seals.

today is wash and wax day

ive ordered the kartboy endlinks and some new bushings for both front and rear swaybars.

i ended up getting a set of 05 tail lights from a very nice gentleman for $40 and they look great. i will still probably get some 08 sports but i had to get something now. the stock tails were letting in a lot of water and im not sure where it was getting in. plus this buys me some time so i can get the endlinks/bushings as well as some drag dr 38 wheels for my summer tires

    DT-45302.jpg

  13. thanks Gren! you know you have it good when you can have the worst day possible but then you walk out to your car and your day is the best because you get to drive this.

so plans now that taxes are done

    1) kartboy front endlinks

    2) splash guards ~ not sure what kind but definitely needed due the dirt roads

    3) 08 fxt sports tail lights

    4) 2nd set rims and tires for every season other than winter

  14. so almost done taking on the dmv and its been a pain. Rick has been awesome though and has dealt with his dmv numerous times.

Had to do my first oil change.

decided to name it Hank Mccoy

looking at buying 08 xt tail lights. just not a fan of the chrome in them and they have moisture so i figure id replace them and paint old ones and keep them for backups.

also looking at rallitek front swaybar endlinks as these perrin ones arent staying tight on our rough dirt roads.

all i can say is that i love this car....my kids do too lol. they give the wife a hard time when they have to ride in her slow forester xs :)

eta: i also got some r8 nokian studded snows and they have worked great

  15. sorry i havent updated this. ive been recovering and working. car did amazing and is amazing! its everything i hoped for and more. engine performed flawlessly and car did great in some pretty horrid weather. idaho had ground level clouds that produced ice while wyoming had 70+ mph winds blowing drifts onto a highway that has an 80mph speed limit. 10 cars had gone off the road, 2 jack knifed semis, 1 semi that caught fire and a trailer that had flipped and disintegrated on impact. google maps has it as an 18.5 hour trip driving straight through and i was able to do it in 22 by myself. my first plan of action after i take on the dmv is to get a 2nd set of rims with some studded snows

  16. i got clued in by my lyft driver. guess when theres no wind that all the smog just hovers.

got to meet Rick and his crew and they are a fantastic bunch. made me feel like family and to me theres not a better compliment. wish i had more time to spend with them.

currently in la grange just by the idaho border. had to get gas, have a smoke and stretch the legs. car has been awesome and flys if i want it to. havent come up with a name for it yet.

    okay time to keep trucking.

  17. grizzly ~ im sure having the plow weight helps too.

Loyale~ sorry i didnt respond before now. i havent been able to drive it much. i have to swap the rear diff before taking it out amd we have had huge snow storms lately. i dont have a garage and ive had a ton of firewood to work on so its kind of gone on the back burner. i also have to get some outer tie rod ends as well. it sucks because i wouldve loved to have taken it out in the 2+ foot snowstorm we had..
