Arrrgggh! I wanna go! There is not one fiber in my being that will let me camp... heck, when I was a Girl Scout leader we stayed in a pretty little hotel, The Gordon Folger on Nantucket for our yearly trip. I felt bad that our sister troops were soggy messes sleeping on windblown, humid beaches. Yuck! Anyway... Andrew...YOU LOVE TO DRIVE AND TAKE RISKS! Here's the deal... drive either Brat (your choice) down and back, Shane can drive the Justy. I'll buy your hotel room. I'll drive the Baja? Ya think it's doable?

You win... plus you were toting a passenger and I was alone.

Really? I did that run in 2 hours 15 mins. easy... and in a Hyundai. Ahhhh... maybe you should go to 14" wheels on the Justy? j/k Did you find a DD on the way back? Thanks for the help on the Mac! I haven't looked at it since you left it... maybe this weekend, or not... supposed to be too nice outside.

That's a very sweet offer. I'll have everything here, my treat. We'll just have to tuck you into the driveway away from prying eyes. LOL!

No... usually tourists from out of state use it. The Boston crowd heads for the "woods" out of state. It's a very well-kept place. We launch our boat from there, never even seen a piece of paper laying around.

The one and only. Even our police have witches embroidered into their patches. There's a nice campground right in town on WInter Island. It fills up rather fast, so if anyone wants to camp overnight that's the place. There's a nice beach, pier and facilities. Harold Parker State Forest is about 20 miles and is woodsy.. very woodsy.

LOL.. not a lot of land, just a lot... the house actually takes up most of it. We did have a large lot across the street til they built condos on it. BBQ... and more... I love to cook!

Help! My perfect dash is cracking
Mink oil and Lemon Pledge furniture polish work wonders on sun-baked vinyl. For hard plastics rub mink oil in well with your fingers until it won't absorb any more. then wipe off the excess with a terry towel. For vinyls and softer plastics, rub the Pledge in with your fingers until only water beadlets remain and wipe dry with a paper towel. Repeat till it won't absorb anymore. You can find Mink Oil in the shoe care department. Use a sunshade to prevent further damage.

Tickled Silly!!!
Seahag1978 replied to Rodney7286's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt should move manually, put a thumb on each side of the mirror glass left and right and gently push in, then try top and bottom, it should rock one way or the other ( it will make a ratchety sound). Get the mirror to midships and then try the power. Sometimes it gets beyond its travel and doesn't move at all with the power switch.

Ok... how about my house on the first Saturday in June?

Goodbye old friend, last road trip for the 88 DL
We have a 2005 F-350 Lariat diesel, extended cab... Tim says it has everything but lips. Not for nothing, I would still drive my little guys any day Just the payments on that sucker would choke a horse! I just turn the radio higher to block the "noises". Works for me

Goodbye old friend, last road trip for the 88 DL
I cried for years after learning my first Brat was rusted so bad that it was unsafe to drive. I got a few since then, but they just don't fit my butt like the original... it was like an extension of myself, I never felt safer or more comfortable in any car since. Doesn't stop me from driving them though!

I'm game if you are. Anyone else?

Ahhh... why did I think that was in June or July? Feeble mind strikes again! Maybe we should hold the meet here on the first Saturday in June?

You'd better stand by then... that can be very unpredictable. Best wishes!

Not to worry... according to statistics, if it's a first born, the baby will be 2-3 weeks late under normal circumstances. If the mom-to-be is a heavy smoker, drinker, drug user, then all predictions are null and void.

Baja ...
Good for you! I would love to be in some sort of competition... my Baja/Brats rule! There's one in particular that I wouldn't hesitate to compete with, she takes a lot of finessing, and I have learned her tickle spots and she behaves. Arrrrggghhh! I live on the wrong side of the world.

Baja ...
Not only does the Baja have the agility and capability but the style and flair. Unfortunately, the Baja seems to be another orphan in Subaru's line-up. Brats and Brightons are in the same category... the unsung heroes that get folks to buy a closed back "more versatile" vehicle. A bit of genius on Subaru's part.

What make & model tires do you have on your suby?
Seahag1978 replied to elmwood22's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX'05 Baja - stock Potenza tires... what kind of name is that anyway? Sounds like an exotic pasta dish or a male enhancement product. P-O-T-E-N-Z-A... 19.95 + sh. Call now and get a set free! Just pay shipping and handling! These Potenza tires grip the road so poorly that they make my ABS brakes spazz out even in rain and that freaks me out. I want/NEED to replace them. Went to NTB and they said there wasn't enough clearance for meatier tires? Any thoughts?

Awesome! Now the only day out for me is Saturday the 27th, my grandson's birthday. It falls on the long Memorial weekend, so Sunday the 28th would be fine. Otherwise, any other Saturday is open. So you all can pick the date.

For you, straight down 93S to 95N to 114E, two more .10 mi. turns and you're here in 50 minutes or less. I always used Manchester instead of Logan. Easy ride, simple deal.- poject JUNKYARDBRAT need suggestions
Trust me... time, energy and Yankee ingenuity will make it a great car. Fix it and sell it... you bought it, can you imagine the bucks when you make it pretty? Don't take my advice... once mine are pretty and run great, I can't let them go, I keep them and drive them on an alternating schedule. That's a bad thing- Maximum Oddness
Sooo, you're telling me that my Brat is ACTUALLY running under its very own power and my tinfoil hat is not sucking the life out of the town's power supply? Very cool! They can't bill me for this... can they?- Maximum Oddness
Ahhh... it makes some sense now. I drive in 3 cities in my 3 mile trek to work and back. Your post made me realize that the freakish lights are all within the same city. So it could be the brand of lights they use. After reading DrKrazy's post, I was going to check if I had a cross-eyed headlight - Southern NH
