  1. 1997 Subaru legacy sedan 5 speed. When I slow down in parking lots, or any where, moving under 30mph Ish, there's a clicking noise coming from underneath the shifter is what it sounds like but definitely not the Trannys. Any clue?
  2. Just did a whole bunch of work on my 97 legacy under the hood so now she runs great! But looking for some ideas for cost effective suspension mods to help throw me around those corners:) cheap engine mod ideas are welcome too of course its an EJ25 DOHC 5speed
  3. I agree it definatley doesn't look like a subi.. but I think that in later years it will get more of a Subaru feel to it. It is only the first manufacturing year. I wanna see specs and reviews! I think I read some where there's gonna be an sti model? True or false?
  4. Ok well here's my set up right. Now ill look after school how close they match....... O o o O very poor diagram but all I can really give you since I'm on my phonelol. But if they match within a 1/4 inch I should be good like that?
  5. Ok ill look into those parts. I've also got another question. I'm not 100% confident on how "symmetrical" awd works... but I do know that I have 2 tires that don't match. But the matching sets are in opposite corners. Is that ok? I assume not but I might as well ask. They are the same size. Just unmatching tread paterns and set has a little more wear
  6. Ummm.. maybe that body style I'm not forsure. Ill have to try and catch a picture of it sometime and post it. It is a really cool car tho!
  7. So lately in Sioux city is I've been noticing something I've never seen or heard of before. There is a newer model Subaru Forrester driving around town. Its black with black 18's. Really cool car but it has an STI badge on it. I see this car alot but Im confused as to whether or not its real?? And what did subaru add to it that would classify it as an sti Forrester rather than I stock Forrester if it is real?
  8. Ok ill have to throw that on the list. Thank you. You know I used to be on a jeep forum because I was really big on jeeps. Had 2 grand Cherokees. V8 and inline 6. And you guys are ALOT more helpful than the jeep one lol. I've learned more as much about the 2.5L in three days than I learned about my 4.0L on all my years of having one lol
  9. And keep in mind I am I high school kid with a budget lol is water pump and intake gasket a neccesity?
  10. Lol Jensen imports my mom is the service manger. I still don't know what these plugs are. Elaborate I'm not extremely mechanically inclined this is my first project car
  11. Why no head head bolts? And what are the plugs you're talking about? And yes were pulling the engine I'm hiring an acquaintance that works at the Subaru dealership He is certified and gonna teach me as we go so I know my ins and outs of the motor.
  12.
