  1. 450 obo. Pick it up before it hits the scrap yard
  2. Yeah prolly. Im out of space and dont havw time to put into it. momey is tight we me just changing jobs so i kinda chould use the cash.
  3. http://medford.craigslist.org/cto/3021598048.html
  4. I cannot find a windshield. I have checked every local shop in my area. And nobody has anything. What can I do as an alternative? What about lexan? Anything else anybody is running? I just want to get my brat back on the road. If anybody is curious it's a 1981 brat. If anyone has glass amd wants to ship im willing to do what it takes. Help!!!!
  5. Yup sure is. Smells like gas very atrongly and back fires when revs drpp. Any way to adjust this?
  6. It actually ended up being the valves to tight. Im new to push rod motors amd dudng put tigether that replacing the head gasket chould mess up my vslve clearances.
  7. I havr enough on my plate as far as making and building stuff goes. Once the roll bar is done and lights mounted im moving on to my 4" lift. 1 step closer eveey day!
  8. Yyup hust aluninum And plexi glass. I will try and get some nore detailed pics of it later.
  9. So i started building my roll bar today. so far so good. also rewired my light bar and threw it on there to mock up mounts on the new bar. lemme know what you guys thing. It runs 6 lights up front, 3 in the rear, and one on each side. I need to "restore" the plastic a little as it has kinda fogged up over the years. all with time tho.
  10. I really like this style roll bar. so i think im gonna try and make it myself. should be pretty simple. does anyone have any more pictures of this brat? O know about what size tubing it is using? http://www.milkmandan.org/dev/null/archives/subaru_brat_lifted.jpg
  11. what tire/rim combo are you running? it looks really good under there.
  12. what are ppl doing for roll bars and bumpers in their brats or wagons? Im sure most ppl are just modifying stuff off other vehicles or making them from scratch. what did you do? Pics are great and write ups are even better if u did or know of one.
  13. thanks! unfortunately they are 4 hours north of me and unwilling to ship glass I might just have to pay a local shop to install one for me. they quoted me $270 for parts and install. i guess its not to bad since they will warranty the work and i hear that modern day windshield gaskets blow rump roast. so if it leaks i will make them fix it till its right. IDK In lighter news I got all the wiring gremlins squared away! all of my exterior and interior lighting is working tip top. One step closer to being road worthy again. Im getting so anxious to go play on some trails but i gotta wait on Monday i go and get the paperwork for her all sorted out so it will be street legal. then all i have to do is find a windshield and im golden. ALSO! The tires that came on the car are realllly badly warn on the inside of the rear. and sorta worn on the front. I looked at the rear and didn't see anyway to adjust anything aside from the torsion rods. Is there a way i can solve this negative camber issue? What about the front? is it adjustable? I would hate to have to go pay someone to do a alignment on it if i can attempt it myself at home. don't care if its spot on I just don't want to eat through my tires once i get some spendy new ones on there.
  14. So I know I have some really bad inner tire wear in the rear of my brat. It's riding at stock right height And I have not lifted it or anything like that. And I can't seem to figure out how it would be that I could adjust this to eliminate the really negative Tire wear problems. Is there a way to adjust this? What about in the front as well?
  15. okay so i got the timing pretty squared away and its idling about where it should. quick vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rpxU030KNk&feature=youtu.be here is a shot of the wheels i will be running. I still have to drill out the hubs to fit a 6 lug. once that happens these will get some tires and go on. Also i found out why i have no exterior lighting.... I hate wiring ************... I will have to find out why these melted down and fix it. OR just run all new wiring. Also on the bottom of the fuse panal is says "light switch" wtf is it talking about?? other things i did today: removed the ignition switch and rewired it so it can go back to using a key instead of the janky switch and button that it had when i bought it. managed to break my combination switch i think cause my blinkers dont work anymore and they worked before i removed the switch *sigh*
  16. So I know some tire sizes are going to be cheaper then others. Im converting my brat to a 6 lug so I can run better rims. I have some spare 15" rims laying around from my Datsun that im not using and they are they same Toyota 6 lug for the conversion. Is 15"rims a good size or should I maybe pick up some 14's. I want to keep tire cost cheap but still have a tire with some good off road bite. What are you guys running?
  17. about where should these motors be idling about anyways? I adjusted that screw on the carb and got it down to about 1500 cold. have yet to take it up to operating temp yet since the adjustment as i havent had time.
  18. i agree completely. each outting will justify different stuff. If im just going out of town for some fun im not gonna bring a ************ ton of extra parts that might break.
  19. Thanks alot! that truck is my baby. I cant wait till i get to drive it again. if anyone is ever interested to read any info on it u can check out my build thread on it. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/29200-siqx20s-620-kc/
  20. oh and since this is kinda turning into a project/ build thread should i move/post in another section then the intro section?
  21. So the good news is she is running! yay!! had a hell of a time trying to get the thing timed when all it ended up being was the valves were to tight from the new head gasket. DOH! first head job for me on a motor with push rods. I didn't put together that the valve clearance could change from a new gasket. Oh wells glad its sorted out. I still have to sort out some carb issues. might just say ************ it and throw my Weber 32/36 on there off my datsun as it isn't gonna need it for a while and i want to up the carb on that to a 38/38 anyways. but I drove it around the block to make sure it went into all 4 gears and revers. along with going into 4lo and 4hi. every thing checked out nicely. I wanted to take it on a longer drive but figured it wouldn't be wise since none of the lights work yet, no windshield and expired tags haha! but I get payed this Friday so it will get some fresh tags and registered and if money allows i will have a windshield installed. then all i have to sort out is why all the fuses are blown lol I didnt take any new pictures but to please ur eyes here is my datsun before i started bagging it.
  22. for sure i bet. this will all be down the road stuff for me. I finally got her running pretty good. picked it up last week for $125 with blown head gaskets. just gotta get a windshield and passenger glass in it and she will be road worthy again.
  23. Well im going to be building a tube bumper for my brat. It will mount directly to the frame rails. I will mount my winch to my bumper. just gotta get creative and know how to fab stuff.
