Really need a front RH strut for my 79 brat. anyone?
thanks. -
Had this laying around, kind of tachy right? haha. anyway hooked it up to the lowbeams, works fine.
Waiting on a front RH CV joint as well as needing a strut. making progress, hope to be seriously cruising this month. runs and drives fine, but i'd like to replace the tie-rods and ball joints. -
Ill go pop my hood haha, pretty sure that's it though.>>
>>>>> just checked, and yeah Thats the only connection that is in that area, at least on my 79. -

Tomorrows area of focus, rear disc-brake conversion! made a trip up to Vancouver, WA picknpull found a 80's turbo wagon score.
Also, anyone out there have a RH front strut? in need. -
If i remember right the Voltage regulator runs the fuel pump as well.

Let us know how you go about it.

Forgot to add I have a Weber and adapter plate coming this week. I was missing too many parts on the Hitachi and I think it sucks anyway, lol. So the carb is outta there once the engine and tranny go back in. Should be firing it up soon!
Awesome, your killin it, keep the updates coming.

Nice, where did you pick up the gear shifter bushing? I'll need one of those. thanks for posting the break down and assembly pictures.

I used the stock y-pipe and had a local muffler shop run a straight pipe all the way to the rear with one muffler in the stock location. skipping the "noise reducer" muffler in the middle. It sure ran better after.
i think it cost 200 or so. worth it. -

Yup the emissions crap you capped off. What are they and where to buy?
For the choke is it just wired to a hot source? That is what I can surmise from research.
I just ordered my carb and adapter for $259 shipped so I am stoked to throw it on after all the rebuild fun I have been doing.
As you know I am more than competent with this stuff I just don't know what to keep (EGR as an example) and what to cap?
I just took the vacuum lines to the autpart store and asked them for caps for roughly the same diameter hole. they have many different sizes.

Post #68 picture 3 has a picture of the electric choke.
the 4 standoffs had to do with emission or hitachi-oem air cleaner stuff. Runs great without all that crap. -
Stained glass paint for the highs?
And for the Weber I cannot see how you did the choke cable? What is it connected to?
My Brat has no choke, so...
Also, that pic with the 4 standoffs, what are we looking at? What size standoffs?
Thanks.
Yeah, I did the stained glass paint.. I can sand it off whenever I guess but I'll rock it for a little while longer. as for my weber it's has electric choke. I can take more pictures tomorrow. what do you mean by standoffs? the vacuum lines that i capped off?
