  1. I emailed them also and received no response. They probably already tried with them. I do know several on this board that were connected when I was so I thought I would mention it here.
  2. I understand the issue with securing a place that is willing to allow the ground torn up and dust issues as I put on the Hood River Rallycross for a few years. The other issue is travel time from a major city like Portland or Seattle. Has anyone talked to "Oregon Raceway" in Grass valley about a HOME there. It has so much area to use and the businesses around there though sparse are very supportive of events there. I can't see why they would not entertain the possibility . It is a drive , but an easy one and camping could be possible too.
  3. Is the red 95 sti still for sale?

  4. I was supposed to work my real job Saturday the 15th but got a call from ORG's Mike Nagle and ended up getting our Relay for Life group to park cars on a private piece of land on the Fir Mountain Road . We had 2 buses shuttling spectators 2 miles to the site. It took about 25 hours of my time staking-ribboning and signing the area but our group cleared $2,211.00 for the effort. I did not see a rally car all weekend but it was worth it. Parking was safe, secure and neighbors on Fir Mountain had little to complain about. We parked over 300 cars . I missed the BBQ in Dufur because I also had to clean up the property on Sunday.
  5. Thanks for the mention. I did not make the last 2 events because of a new job. I also want to sell the car . I put too much into it to get out without loosing a lot of $ but that is racing. For those who don't know the car, it is a 95 Imprezza RS with a JDM STI drive train and a new 2.5 block. It has a fully adjustable diff and MANY options . It is quick and reliable (no dnf's) and still streetable. Best offer. porschenein59@gorge.net
  6. It looks like there could be a reschedule but I would guess not. Most of the workers can't be there- The Hales- Tabors; etc Ben says the grounds are booked too. Maybe something in Eastern Oregon or elsewhere before the October event could happen. Heavy on "could". Finding a place is always an issue. :-\
  7. Now that I can play they are cancelling ? Damn! I spent 9 days with my sister after her Husband died and missed the big weekend (and the wedding I was going to film). Sometimes life sets priorities in perspective. Anyway, is it probable they will just drop the one event and go on?
  8. Hope you have fun. I certainly planned on being there the 28th and 29th as was scheduled for months. I am filming a wedding for inlaws saturday the 21st and there goes my plans. I will see you Sunday If allowed......
  9. I drove by thursday on business and there was a tractor working on the track- just on the prior run areas but anything should help. It was quite dry also.
  10. Ed, they posted the results. 155 line entries -Ed Rachner overall top time of the day! Yes an EVO had 1 run faster but you beat him for the 3 runs. Don't be so modest- You beat ALL including all the rally cars built for competition. You never took out a cone. You did it in a wagon with a full interior. The congratulations still stands. (and yes , us old farts rule!!)
  11. Ed, they posted the results. 155 line entries -Ed Rachner overall top time of the day! An evo had the best single run but your 3 runs waxed him for the overall. Don't be so modest- You beat ALL including all the rally cars built for competition. You never took out a cone. You did it in a wagon with a full interior. The congratulations still stands. (and yes , us old farts rule!!)
  12. Ed showed everyone how to Rallycross at Hillsboro Sunday in a mixture of Hail, downpours , sun with the first place in Prepared 4wd! 70+ ran the afternoon session that did not finish until 6:30 . Ed also posted the best time in the afternoon session even trouncing the Modified 4wd class. Charles Morrill co-driving with Ed was close behind with 4th place. The "old farts" led the way!! There was more than ten cars that simply got stuck on course and had to be pushed or pulled to get going the mud was so deep and slick. Ed however looked like a swamp buggy flying around the course with 3 runs total time under 4 minutes . Most were over 4 and many were over 5 minutes combined. Way to go Ed!!!
  13. Congratulations to Ed Rachner and Charles Morrill! Ed took home the gold in some pretty wild conditions with Charles in 4th .
  14. Looks great Ed! I bought a '95 RS and Rick who I sold my WRX to will sell me the tires I gave him with the car, my Hakki's that I grooved. I assume I will run in the Modified class like I did before (Open) as the motor is not really"stock". The best part is the tranny is stout so no worries on launch and 500 lbs less than the WRX. I can't wait to get dirty again.
