  1. I just took a trip with my 1993 Legacy wagon (235k miles) and was averaging 30 mpg. 2.2L engine.
  2. My 1993 Legacy L wagon is almost to 234k miles and has been the most reliable car I know of with good gas mileage (still 30 mpg or better) and is also fun to drive.
  3. When comparing against the highway mile markers, also use a stopwatch or watch and time the miles and see if the speed is being shown correctly. -CW
  4. I must have missed it, but what are the bad seatbelt issues ('90-'94)? Thanks. -SQ
  5. FWD '93 Legacy L wagon w/automatic, 233k miles, anywhere from 20-24 mpg in town, 28-31 mpg highway.
  6. Not only should you see a doctor ASAP, also consult with your attorney ASAP in case you need to sue for damages (California only gives you 1 year to do so). I did neither when I was rear-ended and have regretted it ever since. I hope you doing better by now, please keep us posted.
  7. Yes, I used to keep a similar chart. I had set to calculate a running average mpg as I added each fill-up to the list. It's a really good way to keep track of your gas mileage and to see if there are any disturbing trends. I haven't looked at my old chart lately, as it is on one of my older computers, but I remember also keeping a notes section to the side so I could note whether it was a city or ross-country tank, or hot or cold, etc. Thanks for sharing your chart, I will have to go look at mine (in Lotus 1-2-3, I believe).
  8. Go for it! I have a Legacy wagon with well over 200,000 miles on it and going strong. Let us know what you decide! -SQ
  9. Good to hear! I am looking forward to hearing how test drive goes this weekend. And if you get the car, take it easy! It's fun to drive our Subarus fast, but fun to get there in one piece and live to tell about it (I know, same advice as others have given, but good to keep in mind as well). Best wishes and good luck! -SQ93
  10. Good luck with the SVX. If you are going to pay the insurance, then I would recommend you get quotes from your insurance agent, so you will know how much that will be. And maybe get quotes from several insurance companies.
  11. I have used CarFax several times in the last few years and have been satisfied with their service.
