hi all ................. To replace the bulbs that have burnt out behind the heating and A/C controls of a 98' Legacy you'll need the following. 2 Short bulbs PN 72351AC061 (Bulb Mode Temp) 1 Long bulb PN 72351AC051 (Bulb Fan) can anyone verify these #'s are correct and also........ Just got my 98 legacy outback .......somebody who had this had the lights aimed straight into the ground......... for bringing up the lights ,,, do i turn counter clockwise or clockwise??, the screw caps on the ends are broken off...so I have to use a wrench ........arrghhh !! Thank you for the relpies......i really need to do fast, getting dark here sooner.

yup...from inside...........and i did remove the tweeter cover....... bottom bolt is missing .......wondering if anyone knows the correct size?

Hello all. My 98 legacy outbacks outside drivers mirror seems to be missing the bottom bolt that attaches it to the car. Does anyone know best way to fasten it....and what specific size bolt it needs? Im assuming metric but not sure . Thank You to all who read and reply !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello again all.........98 legacy outback limited with heated seats..... Lights on rocker switches both lite......but no heat. Thought Id try to fix before the cold sets in. Any ideas , or is it possible its a fuse someplace? Thanks for any thoughts.

hello...........gonna look at 98 outback today................................ automatic , 160,000 miles on it. two moon roofs ,,,must be special anniversary model? Any warnings or things I need to pay attention to like timing belts? Any replys that help are appreciated.

98 impreza outback sport Hi......does anyone have any knowledge of replacing a bulb on a factory set of fog / driving lights? Havn't gotten down to look at it yet, but one bulb is out. Do you get at it from the front , or maybe the back has a cover? Thanks for any help.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess ill have to get into the linkage and check.....any ideas how to get into the linkage? looks hidden from insdie the hood...

Does anyone know if removing the arms and repositioning will help? If it does,,,,,,is taking off the 14 mm nut all that is need to remove them? Thanks

Hi all..............question is on a 98 outback sport impreza. All wiper controls and arms are original equipment. Was driving home yesterday in a down pour.........flicked on my high speed wipers...fine as always.............then all of a sudden they started to bang the car at the down ward pass every time..........bang bang bang...... when turned off they parked them self lower then normal............. any self simple fixes to this...............or am I off to the repair shop? Thank You for all replies.

Anyone ever remove the (subaru) plastic letters off the back of there suby? I did with a heat gun, then used goo be gone for adhesive removal, but there is still a shadow of the letters showing. Maybe some rubbing compound would help? Any suggestions please?

guess the only thing members like to talk about are timing belts, interference engines and head gasket issues....................

Hello.................Question is for a 98 Impreza OBS. Does anyone know or can identify which screw does what for headlamp aiming adjustments? Two on each of the headlights. Just want to adjust the up /down ....not side to side. Thank You very much for all answers!!!!

Your abs sensors are not too thrilled with all that snow packed into them. The light coming on and off sounds normal to me for what your doing with your car. Take it to a car wash or let your car thaw out a little, if the light stays on.

98 impreza sport......had it since new.........no major problems.... dependable......toasty warm in winter,,,,,,great gas mileage...... Just thought id post something positive on Subarus.... Have a peaceful safe Christmas everyone!!!

Hi all.have a 98 impreza outback sport. Noticed a yellow tinge to the back up light on one side. Maybe some water got in and rusted? Any way to access the inside of the tailight cover to clean it, besides just the bulb hole? Any comments appreciated!!
