well it is not 9 years old, 2007 and I bought the car with the same battery in it from the dealer so say two years. Now just wondering if the same thing will happen with a new battery? butnow tha tI have more time I have been able to drive it more to trail heads and such but it is still doing the same thing.

Same battery it came with, I work from home and only drive it to go and pick up my son from the babby sitters about 1 mile away on town roads, So it is in the garage the rest of the time. but when I go to start it it grumbles a bit but starts and all the settings are gone. Very annoying, but thinking the battery may be on its last legs or I just do not drive it enought to "charge" it???? any thoughts??

Exactly how i have it installed. the aera where it seems to hit is above the grill, where you take out the plastic clips/plugs and replace them with the white plugs with the grooves, which i might add were a pain to put in as they spinned. I ended up putting two washers ont eh hood latch to lower the latching point. My dad used to work in a body shop then went on to restore classic cars, 1939 or less was classic to them anythine else was not a classic go figure! So after doing this all the hood lines are perfect and line up and it latches better. i think the white plugs/mounting screws may be the issue. thoughts? Now it closes with pressure ont he hood, not the sheild. Thaks for the imput and more would be appreciated:headbang:

So i putthe deflector on just like they say too (i did the same thing on my 01 and on my older Trooper) Hood will not close took off the front grill, still will not close, was thinking it was the rubber gasket hitting the top of the grill, ajusted the two rubber height adjusters on each side of the body, closes fine, put grill back on still will not close:eek: . out of ideas now. HELP!!!!!!

So the final outcome was tha that rad was very clogged bolth in and out, the bottom 1/4 was so clogged that you could not see thlrough it at all:mad: so the new one is in and all problems solved. My mech also said it is pretty common to see this since the rad is sandwhiched beween the ac and hte at coolers.
-
It does have the AT cooler and the ac is in front of the radiator and the at cooler behind. I have an apptment with the local GOOD mechanic on thur to have a look at it. Temps her have been 90+ like toaday it is 96 and i just ran home from work and it was fine with the A/C on and such at highway speeds, granted the drive is only 15min.

Granted it has been real hot on the Western slope here in Colorado but seeing the Temp guage go right up to the upper white line just befor the "danger Zone" makes me nervous as i do alot of traveling to races and such on the eastern side of the divide so the engine is doing alot of work going over passes. So my question(s) is this, Is this pretty normal? it does back off rather fast when decellerating. Is there anything i can do to prevent it? I have a 01 outback with a 2.5 with 135K on it, the therm and pump were replaced at the usual 105K Any thoughts would be great! Thanks!
