  1. Sorry to randomly pop back in but I will be drilling up a few sets of hubs in August and will have them up for sale If anyone is interested. I'm not on this board much anymore unfortunately and my workload is over my headbut iI will try and feed the needs of the community to the best of my abilities. My personal phone is 3603382537. That is the best way to get ahold of me.

    Thanks a lot

got the heated seats and switch lights working, lots of bad internal bulbs. That were just let go I'm assuming. Auto parts store don't seem to have them so I was going to radio shack to swap to LEDs and just stumbled upon the replacement. So no resistors.... And I honestly don't care about amp draw anyways. So those are all fixed.

Now onto the bad news. I was feeling froggy and decided to dump the trans fluid cause my 2nd- 3rd shift was feeling just a little limp. I have no idea how long its been in there also. It dropped and it was brown and then black and stank of clutches... So I'm going to either kill it or bring it back by swapping this fluid out a few more times. If it dies, its getting a 5 speed. My options are rebuild the trans ($500) or 5 speed swap and other cool stuff (a lot )... Hmmm opinions???

I wanted a 5 speed but this model just never came with one. I also picked up a sohc 2.5 for a backup if and when the headgaskets go.

I've had a few gl's and I still have my old gl10. But wanted to share with ya an maybe meet learn something new. Plus I like leather seats. So I recently purchased a 1999 legacy sus. For her age she cleaned up well.

Problems I could find minus wear parts

Trunk latch at the driver seat didn't work.(fixed)

No keyless entry remotes (has black box)

Misfire cyl #3(p/o installed autolite copper plugs..fixed)

    Egr code(cleaned and reinstalled)

    Airbag light is on

Heated seats do not turn on

The damn power antenna is crunchy.(unplugged the motor cuz I hated hearing it)

Key likes to stay in the ignition sometimes.(fixed).

So for the price not really a bad bargain.

I must say its hard to see my gl10 sit but man do like leather.

Critisism is welcome as i am new to this new of a car. It runs a ej25d if i educated properly. Wheels are off an 05 forester xt thanks to a fellow board member.

  5. All Cardone Remanufactured parts have a lifetime warranty. In that case, they're relying on you selling the car before they have to replace it more than a couple times.

The Duralast Gold CVs are NOT Cardone, or Remanufactured at all. They are definitely a much better quality. I'm very tempted to use them the next time I need axles.

Ive been running duralast gold new axels in my wheeler w/ an ej and I daily it. Fronts only have been replaced and they hold up quite well the shafts are larger the cups are larger and I havent broken one yet . But again for sake of mentioning it my teats are still origional with over 300k on them turning 235 75 17 a/t.
