My 93 Legacy wagon has a body colored trim piece that sits at the front of the rear wheel opening. It covers the body between the rear door and the wheel arch. I have to remove it because I see rust stains running out from under it. It is plastic and I don't want to break it. Any ideas? do I pry?, there seem to be no screws holding it on etc. It sits right above the rockers and goes up about a foot. Thanks

.I have a chance to get a low mileage 91 2.2l . My 93 2.2l awd wagon lefacy has 350,000 and a spare engine would be nice. I was wondering if the sensor connections, exhaust, etc. would bolt right up and if the computer would match up to the engine. OR if I should just look around for a 93 engine. Please respond asap, the owner of the engine needs a fast answer.

Is there a way to include a picture of my odometer in this post. The 15/40 diesel oil is great for the summer, when I drain it every 4000 miles, it comes out as thick as when it went in. Dino oil drains really a lot "thinner feeling" after 4000 miles. Other than belts, an alternator and just recently a starter, and plugs and belts, everthing on the engine is fine. Had some rare check engine lights appear at 10 below, now that the temp is in the 20-30 degree range, the light has not reappeared. Original struts, exhaust, no body rust (a few tiny surface spots I touched up), original O2 sensor and all other sensors. A couple of wheel bearings and cv boots. Sheesh, isn't this normal for a domestic by 50,000mi.? I will need a replacement soon and NO WAY IS A 2.5l SUBARU in my future. Either a used 2.2l wagon until they stopped making or another make .

I think this is great-am I right? no other engine problems , ever. no noise, no leaks, just normal wear and tear belts, idlers etc. I use diesel Rotella in the summer and 5/30 in the winter. No way will I consider a 2.5 a replacement when I do get rid of this 93 2.2l. Am I lucky, or are all well maintained 2.2's this bulletproof? I have friends whose Neons are shot by 80,000mi.

3 times in the last 3 weeks (below 20 degree weather here in Buffalo) my check engine light would light up, if i shut the engine off and immediately restart the car, it would not reappear. I have a 93 legacy. No driveability problems, perfect ice cold starting, no change in gas mileage etc. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Is the computer smart enough to sense something going before it goes? thanks also, is there a way of getting codes out without going to the dealer etc. I know I once found a page that let me find tranny error codes by counting lights.

i used to warp front rotors on my automatic wagon (345,000miles) The best life i have seen is with Brembo rotors and ceramic pads-no more warped (actual warpage) rotors, my other car is a 911, so I do drive HARD and there is minimal engine braking in an auto. Original tranny went at 300,000 mi. (my fault, it took me 1 hr. to get my car out of a snowbank before a girls boyfriend came home-long story). Original starter just went, front axles get replace from Autozone (lifetime warranty) whenever the boots tear. One ball joint has gone, 3 RR wheel bearings , original exhaust, small rust on rear quarter panel by wheel well, original struts, burns 1qt./1000mi. i tow 2 jetskis in the summer. Alternator went once, original emissions and pcv valve. I add r-134a every spring (wal-mart conversion). No GM, Ford, Chrysler would ever have lasted this long (prev. exp.) I hoping for 500,000mi. before I'll look for a replacement. I will never get a 2.5l Subaru, ever. i use diesel oil (Rotella etc. in the summer ).

http://www.talkaboutautos.com/group/rec.autos.driving/messages/525825.html excellent article that shows the Wagner Britelites to be a top rated bulb. the US silverstars (also confirmed elsewhere) are nothing more than everyday Osram blues in europe. So according to this article with links to a Brittish bulb test, the Wagners seem the best in the 30% category, (they are Phillips bulbs). I'd like to get my hands on those 50% brighter euro bulbs!!!!

Just installed one (1) Wagner hibrite, it's made by Philips in Germany. in my dark and wet driveway, no difference that is visable between it and the wal-mart GE blue ($8 dollar bulb). putting my high beams onto my garage door 50 feet away, no visable discernable difference in brightness or visable light at all. Looking at the headlights head on from a distance, I see no difference. From what I've found on the net, these Wagners (aka Philips premiums) are supposed to be the brightest zenon bulbs that you can get in the stock wattage. So, I'll just leave the 2 different bulbs in there. I drive in Buffalo NY.

I've got relatives in Toronto and used to visit there alot, so far I've had spray paint sprayed on a flag sticker, a flag broken off with antenna and a lot of rude comments similar to what some British are saying about Bush today. We get tons of Canadians coming down to see the Bills and Sabres play, but I have yet to here of anyone doing anything to them. As long as it's just a middle finger or torn flag I can live with it.

I've tried using good summer arms in the winter, but doing mostly highway driving, I noticed the wind chill (at 65mph) just freezes the arm flex points (little hinges) after a using the washers. Dicing with semi trucks and driving mostly highway miles in the winter make the winter blades alot better for keeping a clean windshield. Today I noticed a fine scratch caused by some debris under my drivers blade, square staring me in the face is a scratch in the form of an arc right in front of my face. Almost impossible to feel with my fingernail, can it be "polished" out? and how? I can't have the glass replaced cause it's only 4 months old and there are no cracks or anything. The insurance company already replaced it. Sheesh, it's one thing after another....

absolutely positively an unknown product here in Western new York, I checked everywhere. I'll have to cross the border, "lie" about the purpose of my trip, and hit the Canadian stores. Does Wal-Mart etc. carry them, or do I have to look for a Canadian Tire store. I'll have to remove the US flag off my car, previous visits "annoyed" many anti-US people and I barely avoided alot of car damage.

I checked on the web, they are called Sure-Wipes, made in Canada. I called all the stores you mentioned here in Buffalo, no one ever heard of them. I'll have to cross over to Fort Erie or Niagara Falls, they are JUST WHAT I NEED!. Should I try any auto parts store? Thanks for the info, it's probably cheaper to drive over, charge them and drive back than to pay shipping etc.
