  1. will a high rise console from a loyale be a direct bolt in on the 87-89 gl wagons? thanx!
  2. hidey ho as my other thread says in the marketplace forum i am looking for a 87-89 gl wagon with the d/r...well, they seem to be very hard to find at this time of year, so, have a line on a real nice 93 w/low miles and the pushbutton 4wd and was wondering how much it would cost to convert it to the d/r....if it is cost effective then i will probably buy it(pending driving it first of course ), so, an estimated cost and time would be greatly appreciated as i do not have a car and i need one for work... thanx! email me at babylonfivefan@hotmail.com or you can call me at 425-836-9613 this evening or any evening or tomorrow on my cell phone at 303-929-5044..colorado area code as i havent changed it yet... alan
  3. okey doke..got some h style alloys and they need a good cleaning...(still need one by the way), i would guess the clearcoat is long gone and the guy i bought them from said to use steel wool on them...not sure but that sounds a little scratchy to me any tips/suggestions would be appreciated alan
  4. ok, what does everyone use in their 87 and up wagons for beverage holders? i forgot that they dont come with one and have to have something for my commute every day...drill into the dash above the glove department to mount something? thoughts and or pics would be great as i dont remember what i did when i had wagons a number of years back... alan
  5. hi all before i get a subie i have some general questions...live here in the seattle area, use to live in denver and was wondering about tires...wont be doing any serious offroading enough to use swampers and such but ran hakkapellitas in denver year round and was wondering about folks thoughts about doing that here in seattle...saw the thread on tires but didnt seem to apply to me also, plug wise...use ngk's like i did in denver? and what about oil, used castrol alot there...any pull'n'save's here in the area for subies? probably will be trying to score one of those air deflectors like i used to have and also a cargo cover as those tend to be hard to find also...and, of course, a used supplier of those easily damaged front headlights and now, a really stupid question..like i said, i saw the thread on tires and rims but was wondering if i can just throw on a set of 14" pugs or similar and call it good, and, what advantages would i have over the normal 185/70/13's ? thanx everyone! alan
  6. works great in the fuel system as a smokescreen too!!
  7. indeed, i might be interested too in that wagon richie...seems like i "might" have sold the grand cherokee so "might" have some $ coming my way alan
  8. richie about the only question i had about the thing was if anyone here in the seattle area does them or would do one for me...rather then my friend in denver picking a car he thinks i would like and doing the swap..if its done here i can see the car and scope it out...that's why i kinda like austin's beast as it has the 2.2 and the d/r...problem still is selling my grand cherokee first
  9. austin yeah, it could be you, especially if i buy your yellow beast
  10. ok, have posted a wanted to buy trade post in the marketplace section...guess i should have split this post but didnt...
  11. well, if i am going to go from the darkside(jeep owner) back to the light(subie) i need to know if there is a mechanic or shop in the redmond area...i'm about as handy as a giggolo at a lesbian convention so need as much help as i can get..heck, just ask mike at swings stuff in denver ) thanx alan
  12. hi everyone first posting so go easy on me am tired of the jeep experience and want to go back to subies...have a friend in denver who can swap a hi lo tranny into a 92 loyale..i like the idea cause of the fuel injection i will get and the newer and lesser mileage vehicle also...had two 87 wagons which i put on over 265k a piece on then a legacy...then an impreza and finally the forester....but, really loved those wagons...so, does anyone do this swap in the washington state area so i could see the car in person first and scope it out and does anyone want to trade theirs if it has the fuel injection and is a 92 w/low mileage? have a 96 grand cherokee limited with 120k and running strong, would like some cash also of course thanx! alan ingles
