Fuel problem
I'm not sure. I replaced it with one of the ones that said it would it. It is a spectra premium and now that I read the fine print yes it says carb model but on the website it says fits my vehicle. Didn't see that carb identification tho. There's other I can buy for fuel injection. So that would be the problem then? Hopefully

Fuel problem
It was one of the fuses. Number 12 wasn't connected at all. Plugged this in and suddenly everything started turning on. But now another prob exists. It will start and then die immediately and dies quicker if I try to press the gas. Any ideas. Thanks

Engine starts and then dies immediately
Idk what else to do I've checked all fuses and they are good and everything

Engine starts and then dies immediately
87 subaru gl 1.8 FI 4x4 wagon This is the exact same situation that was found on http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/118912-88-dl-starts-then-dies/ But was never solved. Same ecu codes: 6 repeated and that's it. It will start up and then immediately die. If I try to press on the gas then it dies quicker. Checked fuel pump and it is good. I checked it at the fuel connection and it spews out gas. This is the thing that looks like a carb but isn't because the car is fuel injection. I

Fuel problem
I changed the fuel pump and I know that it works because when I disconnect the line and bypass the fuel relay it pumps fuel. So I changed the fuel relay because I wasn't getting fuel while the key was turn or cranked or anything. So I replaced it and still nothing changed. No fuel will pump without bypassing.

87 Subaru Gl Wagon won't start...
4 year old post but the problem was never solved. I'm having this same issue. I changed the fuel pump relay and still no fuel when the key is turned. If I by pass then fuel comes out but this relay is brand new and it still isn't allowing fuel to enter the engine

87 gl wagon no power to fuel pump
I could not find any relay with a yellow wire above the hood latch but I checked the fuel pump relay again (blue switch next to the ignition relay connected above the ecu) And it has 4 black and white wires. When I turn the key on I have power at The 1 and 2 side. But the 3 and 4 side is the switch side and i only have power on the 4 side not the 3. Even when I turn the key over still no power. Does this mean I need a new relay? Or do I need to find that rev sensor with a yellow wire? The only thing above the hood latch is the fuse box and way up above that was 3 relays two had black wires and one had two blue wires and one red wire with a yellow stripe and a green wire with a stripe. Thanks

87 gl wagon no power to fuel pump
I have an 87 gl and recently the fuel pump stopped working so I bought a new fuel pump but this wasn't the problem because it still didn't work. Then I check on here and every one said it is the relay so I have a new relay and still not fixed. Any ideas what could be causing it? Everything else works on the car but there is no power to the fuel pump at all.

'88 DL Wagon Fuel Supply Issues
I have a similar problem. My fuel pump wasn't working so I just bought a fuel pump and replaced it but this was not the problem. I checked the power at the plug and there was none. I checked the fuseable links and while the key was turned on the was power to second wire(red) and power to the 4th (black) wire but none to the two green wires. Not sure if this is a possible cause. These two green wires still have no power when the engine is turning over . No fuel will pump still and i cant find a relay to check anywhere its a mess of wires below the steering column. Any ideas?

EA82 Timing belt failure
So now I've changed all of the bearings and idle pully and set the driver side cam up and then rotated engine 360 segrees, driver cam rotated 180. Then set the passenger cam up and then rotated engine 360 with the driver side cam now back straight up. Then I rotated the engine until i came to the zero mark and set the distributor to the #1 cylinder. Put in the key and wouldn't start just kept reveing tried moving the distributor a bit and try again but no change. Any suggestions? Did I miss a step?
