  1. i, too live in bend, and know how spendy it can be to buy parts. i recently nailed a curb at speed, and found that smith rock auto. in terrebonne was the best bet. they're a little slow, but they do get the job done with a little prodding. crescent salvage is also a good place to go if you want to travel out there and play around. good luck!!
  2. indeed! the rims have been drilled, not the hubs (the rims were cheaper!). it gives the subie a more aggressive look. i put some 205/60/15's on it and they fit very nicely; they totally fill the wheelwells. i had to sledge the seam inside the front in order to get my full turn radius, just fyi for all thos diy'ers!
  3. i used a drill press to do it, that made things pretty easy. i used a 9/16" bit (an uncommon size, so you'll have to look around for it; it took me 3 tries to find a place that sells them), and a 3/4" countersink to give it the bevel so the lugnuts get nice and tight. it was easy, and if i can do it, then anyone can!
  4. i just picked up some chevy 6lug 15's myself, and will be going the drillpress route here in the next couple weeks. i have 225/60's that will be going on them, any clue how much i'll need to use the sawzall, and sledge? btw, i'm stock height ea81
  5. i just figured out that my car is an ea71 (i was wiping the dirt off of the engine and read "ea71") and was wondering if the chassis for the 1.6L is the same as the 1.8L, and if i can use the ozified 3"/3" lift on it.
  6. awesome, thanks for the info, guys. i think i know what my next mod will be...
  7. i was wondering what year, and what vehicles lsd's came in. also, what kind of lsd's are they (i.e. viscous, torsen, clutch type, etc)? i did a pretty good search, so please don't flame me too bad .
  8. ok, thank you very much for the speedy responses!
  9. 5,500 huh? i haven't taken it past 3,500 because it almost sounds like too much, but then again, when i shift up (into 2nd or 3rd, etc.) i'm completely out of the torqueband.
  10. i just installed an autoguage 3 3/4" tach in my '80 dl wagon (4sp, duh), and was wondering what i should set the redline to. i did some searching and couldn't find anything, so yeah. thanks in advance! vicious-s
  11. where the hell did you get those rims?!? i was going to go with the toy 6-lug, but if i can get my greasy claws on a set of those, oooh boy! ah, 1st post on a new forum... i just picked up an '80 DL wagon for 600 buckaroos (US), she hasn't even broken 100,000 miles, all original might i add. thinking about doing a lift kit and some 26" tires, brush guard, roof rack, you know all that jazz. i guess that'll be good for my introduction, thank you for your time!
