  1. Haha I'm going to be at the show too.. figure I'll just get my cars to the show and then drive one up from Enumclaw and try to find parking somewhere near CLink.
  2. These came off the now rare EA71S engine. We got a bunch in the states in brats, but they are long gone these days. That manifold will bolt to your normal EA71 manifold but without much power increase, as the dual carb setup was paired with different EA71 heads and a sportier cam profile. You could still run it however for the novelty.
  3. Pinouts look to be the same, wire colors are different. not sure if the plugs match (probably though). You can always yank the engine harness if you want. See attached PDFs for reference. 95 Impreza 2.2.pdf 95 legacy 2.2.pdf
  4. cut off the exhaust with a sawzall just after the hanger in the back, in front of the axles. Best sound you'll get on the ea82, ej22 as well. Leave the cat.
  5. Pair that welder with a harbor freight angle grinder, and a bunch of flap wheels/wire wheels/grinding wheels and you'll be set. Weld it up, grind it out. Practice some uniform beads on a similar piece of sheet metal (or somewhere not noticeable) to get your wire speed/voltage dialed into something manageable.
