  1. I'm a newbie. I've read the Tire Wheel FAQ's. But I'm still a bit confused about what I should get. I need new tires for my 07 Outback for the coming winter. I'd like to get a smaller rims and put on taller and wider tires. I drive mostly on highway, but I also drive on dirtroads on the weekends for work. Or maybe I should just stick to the stock rims and get new tires? Thank you in advance!
  2. I know it's not a big deal, but the DRL just bug the crap out of me. Anyone know a way to turn them off?
  3. Thank you all! Yes it has 109,000 miles on it. I've been told to do the timing belt before but wanted to ask you guys on here. I was thinking of some transmission maintance as well. I had the front left hub replaced at 90,000 and it's never ride the same. Pulls slightly to the left on highway. Also, I've been changing the oil religously at 4,000 miles. Is that over kill or can I go 5 or 6,000?
  4. Hi all! I got my first Subby last april and love it. Wish I had one years ago. I've been meaning to get on a forum like this for a while now to learn about maintance and such. I do a lot of driving and want to keep my outback for years to come. It's a 07'2.5 automatic Outback. I bought it with 80,000 miles and have all ready put 30,000 miles on it since. Like I said, a lot of driving. I wanted to ask what maintance to do for the 100,000 mark (i've looked around here and couldn't find anything). Also a few weeks ago when the temps got below 20 degrees I started hearing a winding noise from the center column after 10mph. I thought it was just the cold temps, but last week temps been in the 40's and the noise is still there. Any insight is much appreciated!
  5. I have a winding noise from my center console this winter when the temps went below 20 degrees. It seems to becomeing from the rear drive shaft. The noise starts after 10mph. I thought it was just the cold, but we've had temps back in the 40's last week and the noise is still there.
