  1. Installed the accord springs today. Everything is good now. But now my car looks like a high heel shoe. Does anyone know of a piece to order to level it out and drop the rear diff? Im going on a 20,000 km road trip next week...
  2. Im already lifted about 2 inches. With my stock springs. So you had a similar issue with your struts knocking?
  3. Ok i ordered them from napa should be here Wednesday. Expensive part. 130 bucks including freight
  4. Hey guys. I did install the subaru springs onto the strut. And i redrilled the bottom bolt too a bigger bolt that fit the new strut perfectly.i cranked on the top bolt nice and tight. When you hit a pothole it feels like the car getting smashed. I have to try and find the accord springs. The parts store cant get them.
  5. It seems to be travelling the full range when i jump on the rear bumper. It makes a loud knock. I was looking underneath and had a friend do it. And i couldnt see anything else causing the noise. Coming from the strut. Its very loud. You can feel it in the whole vehicle. A jarring feeling

  7. I installed the 4 runner struts I bottom out on almost every single bump now. Kindam of annoying. Now im going to try a different spring to stop my bottoming out. And i even got a lift with the stock springs
  8. Well on this loyale its got 2 bolts that hold it too the inside of the fender. I installed the rubber bushings like the old ones had. When i jump off the rear bumper you can hear it bang internally. Actually almost any pothole it will bottom out if its more then me in the car. I was maybe going to try some heavier springs now that i already drilled out the old mounts. Kind of crappy. I read that this should fix my problems.
  9. Hey guys today I replaced my old blown struts with 1998 toyota runner front struts into my rear. Now the new struts bottom out on almost every bump. I couldnt get the factory struts here. I read that this is a normal upgrade on thenold loyales. I drive a 1991 loyale. The rear end is also lifted a couple inches witch i read only happens when you use other springs. Im using stock springs i was going to mayne try the accord springs? I cant really do much driving with my car like this. Its a 1991 loyale 4x4. Any info is appreciated

  11. Hey guys i recently pulled my engine out and replaced the head gaskets clutch throwout bearing etc. I noticed there is a squeel on startup and its progressively getting worse. Its a luk clutch and it squeels on cold start up and when accelerating and if i just lightly put my foot on the clutch pedal it will go away. Am i right that im pulling the engine again next week thanks to lul clutches?
  12. It didn't strip. I stopped cause it felt wrong. And it was just 11bolt. Wouldnt i compromise the gasket if i loosend everything?
  13. Hey guys my torque wrench jammed when i was tightening the 1 bolt on my ea82. On the tightening. I went about half a turn too much. Should i be worried? Im running the felpro headgasket set.
  14. So im about to install new headgaskets on my ea82. And i was thinking about using the copper gasket spray that supposedly helps seal the gaskets. Im going to be using a felpro gasket if that makes a difference. Has anyone else used the spray?
  15. Got the engine pulled today. Took one head off everything looks good so far. Crank seal is leaking pretty bad soon to all be replaced. I love how this engine works its a very cool design
  16. Actually the previous owner did the axles and wheel bearings right before the timing belt snapped. Is the oxygen sensor expensive for these cars?
  17. Just ordered the Delphi kit. It was about $175 I'll make sure to order those intake gaskets now.
  18. Thanks for the reply! Just started tearing into it today. It has 260,000 km on the odo so about 160k miles. Got the intake manifold off with no troubles! Bolt were very corroded tho gotta get some new ones. I think I may paint the intake manifold red like my sti for fun. Got the power steering pump off alternator and the timing covers. Just gotta do exhaust manifolds bell housing and and engine mounts. Then the engine will come out. And I can remove the heads and cam holders so far ordered I have cam seals timing belt kit crank seal and oil pump seals. So I need valve cover gaskets head gaskets oil pan gasket and rear main and those o rings for the cam carriers? One on each side right? And I guess possibly a clutch I'll know when I pull it.

  20. Hey guys I just picked up a 1991 subaru loyale timing belt snapped off. I went over the engine a bit today headgasket are leaking cam seals are weeping looks like the crank seal is leaking probably a big part of the oily timing belt snapping off. Valve covers are all leaking water pump looks to be leaking there is coolant on the bottom of the engine. So now I think I'm just going to pull the engine out do the headgasket timing belts water pump. I picked the car up for $200 hoping to get it running and reliable to drive everyday. I ordered the timing belt kit cam and crank seals. Now I have to order the headgasket and I was going to get the heads inspected. This is going to be my first subaru headgasket. I have read a lot of the older posts. I have read about those oil o rings between the cam carriers that I need 1 on each side of the head. I have read to be careful with the intake manifold bolts. Any other major things? I will probably take the heads into a machine shop to checked. Should I replace anything in the heads? Thanks guys just wanna know what I'm getting into
  21. Im just not 100% sure of how clutch mechanism in these cars works
  22. By any chance do you have a diagram of everything your talking about?
  23. So i was reading some threads on clutch adjustments for my 96 legacy my clutch catches at the very top. I adjusted it on the transmission and i went underneath to my clutch pedal and found a spring that goes from the pedal to the assembly and it was broken. Also when i adjusted it and drove away the clutch immediately started slipping so i put it back up to the top of the release again. Did i do something wrong?
