I am about to attempt an engine rebuild on my 87 3Door and realized how grossly unprepared I am. It would of course be much cheaper and easier if I could find and already built engine or even a short block to buy, but I am having zero luck with that search. My questions for you guys are... Do you know anywhere I can either buy another engine already rebuilt or a short block to help with cost and labor? Are there any tips you have for a first time engine fiddler? I have had my car for several years and have done loads of work on her, but after blowing the head gaskets this last time, and getting blow-by in the engine, I decided it was finally time for an overhaul. Any help is mega appreciated!

I'm looking to replace my suspension. Nothing fancy, just correct parts ordered the first time. I have a 2wd 87 3door and I think it's struts all around... I think. Can anyone help me with some direction to a good website to get these struts?

I am replacing the timing belt on my 87subaru 3door. Does anyone have part numbers for the gaskets and the timing belt kit? I have the 1.8.

Does anyone know the part number for the bearing?

The pulley that adjusts the power steering belt (unsure of what it is called) has seized. Is there a way to loosen it up by cleaning and lubricating it? Or do i need to replace the pulley altogether? I have an 87 3door with a FI 1.8. If i need to replace it, I sure could use some advice on where to find one. THANKS!

There is a tear in the rubber cover (unsure about what that bit is called) on the back of one of my front calipers. Is that bad? Also any advice on what to use to adjust the piston? I don't have any specialty tools. And is it righty tighty, lefty loosy? Also, how do I adjust the hill holder? 87 subaru 3 door manual fwd

How can I tell when I should change my transmission fluid? I have a fwd manual 87 3door.

I troubleshooted the engine light in my 87 ea82. The ECU codes I got were 24 (air control) and 34 (AVE Solenoid valve stuck on or off). Ok, I didn't think about where to go from there... Can I get any advice on how to fix these problems?

I went to get my car aligned, but found out I needed a new ballpoint. They were going to charge 95$ to get the part. I went and picked one up at an autostorefor only 17$. Does the ball joint need to be pressed in? Cause I really just want to do it myself.

this is probably a really dumb question, but is the panel that surrounds the window considered the b panel?

My drivers side seat belt is doing the same thing. Any tips on how to get the paneling off before i attempt it myself?

oh man. You're right! I bet i look really dumb. lol I changed that one a few months ago, after i put seafoam in the gas tank. Recently, my car started to randomly gasp, as if it were having problems getting fuel; more so, after I rev up the RPMs

How does one change a fuel filter (not the one under the hood) in a 87 subi 3door?

I'm looking to lift my car a few inches but, I have no idea where to start. I want details from DIY projects to part numbers. I still don't know if I am going to do it myself or take it somewhere to get done. -87 3door GL FWD

In the gas tank. I had half a tank of gas. It bogs like im running out of gas even when I would throttle it at those times. I have to downshift to run it smoothly. It happened in 5th and 4th gear.

f yeah! I got it! Wheel bearing is finally fixed. I also put seafoam. Now it randomly bogs anything under 2 grand. Really bogging. Is that the sea foam?

I would put up a picture if I didn't keep hitting glitches. Any other tips for the axle?

and if I don't have those extra washers?

I just have the knuckle with nothing on it; no hub

The spindle is sticking out far enough to fit even on bearing along with the axle nut.
