thanks for the info,Actually right now the whole sub frame is on the ground,engine on stand.I have a mig so maybe I can do the alterations to the cross member once I have the rack and lines.I finally got in touch with pk,Lift kit is on the way calling ram engines monday and ordering engine goodies.

Hi,Still new here,have a ea81 brat project starting,dropped the whole powertrain out the bottom.Auto trans which needs rebuilding will be scrapped unless anyone needs one.getting a manual trans,ea81 will get some goodys,want to convert to power steering.I was told to make sure that the pass side head has the mounting holes for the pump bracket.I looked and I do see 3 threaded holes.I guess Im safe with this head,does anyone know this for sure? Also ,is the subframe/crossmember the same so the power rack will fit correctly? Excuse my ignorance on this subject.Ive been a gm tech for years now and just recently got into old subarus,Im so bored working on cars but the subaru is different And interesting and Im actually looking foward to this project.Thanks

Hello guys.New here from north jersey.Have 3 second gen brats. 1 driver,1 for parts,and 1 I bought on ebay from south calif. which is rust free and in many pieces right now.I am waiting for a reply from pk on a 4/3 lift.Getting nervous cause I thought he was out of buis because I cant get a hold of him,saw he was on this forum so I guess he will return my email eventually.Gonna keep the ea81. From my experience it seems to be a rugged little motor. its getting pistons from ram engines,cam ,and heads will be shipped out to them as well to get dual ports and shaved,weber carb, etc...I want to convert it to power steering and 15 inch 6 lug wheels of coarse.
