Guess I mis-understood this statement making it sound like there was only one Oring.
I have seen Orings on a 97 2.2 - actually several - just FYI. One Impreza(don't do many Impreza's) and several Legacy's.
yeah i guess some of the 97s do have the Orings too hmmmm thats new info to me
-
only 2.2s from 90 to 96 had 2 o rings all other 2.2s had no oring
just recently did a timing belt on a 99 2.2 and there it was no orings needed.. also a 97 i have done no orings needed

i'm assuming its an auto right?
it will take you a few trans fluid changed to get the moisture out of the trans... i know some in here hates the lucas trans fix, but that was what saved my new tranny a couple of months back when i went through a deep puddle.. try that when u do change your trans fluid AGAIN
you have to get it all up and running soon.. i'm planning a barrens meet in october lol
-
thats right no oring on passenger side cam only the seal
-
wow it seems like brown wagons love to get flooded! lol
something similar happened to me
:lol::lol:
yes your abs computer is toasted u need a new one... its not a bad idea to have an extra ecu.. that one wont last long at all...
its been more than a yr since i flooded my car.. just now that i am going to the JY next month to get a new carpet
-
for the speedometer.. you will need a new VSS2, located at the bellhousing on the passenger side of the trans
-

hey guys
i had a great time too.. david enjoyed the food so did I... we made home in under 2 hours!!! sorry i didnt respond earlier.. its just that my sat evening got ruined by some *&^%$%#s from down under and some other people that called me on my way home... and that made me depressed throughout sunday
thanks connie for the burgers it was awsome, i ate some on sunday too... and jess thanks for the cake!!! :slobber:
nice to have finally met you rob!
pssssttt john.... be ready for the barrens with that winch
-
i test drove the outback with a cvt yesterday, and here is what i think...
the car is nice but the tranny garbage! lol sorry i could never get used to it, it feels like it is slipping all the time, i even floored it and the thing didnt move, it only revved up... but overall i am very impressed with the vehicle.. i would take a 6spd manual base model in a heartbeat! i also testdrove the 3.6 legacy with the 5spd auto tranny.. that was diffrent i would def take that one....
just my thoughts after test driving them... i love the ground clearance on the outback i love the design and it is soo comfy.... FYI they went from coilpack to coil in each of the plugs and and and plastic intake manifold!!!!

tick tock tick tock

i've seen this happen to many of the 1st gen legacys
your problem lies on the ignitor, its that square type of slim box by the fire wall right above the pitchstop.. change that and u are good to go

Paint your car vivid pink. No self respecting groundhog would ever be . . . !
would ever be what?
-
think its the T25 in the "tamper proof" variety of flavors.
yup u are right t25
I recall it being "plain" T30 on a 1995 Impreza.yup t30s are for the other style airbag that i am installing
-
i am getting close to install my new steering wheel and i am having a brain fart on removing the airbag... do i need a T27 security torx or a t25? ohh yeah its for a 95 legacy
