  1. Hey thanks guys. So in frustration I put thermostat RTV on the old o ring and carefully placed it in. That was before I read your post. I think what the issue was is that the way I had the lower coolant hose pushed down on the lower pipe of the radiator was putting a little downward force on the front of the pipe and unseating it a little. It's all coming apart tomorrow and being redone properly with the o ring. I will report back when complete. Thanks!
  2. Hey Guys, I am having trouble sealing the metal tube that connects the lower radiator hose to the part above the water pump on my 1991 Loyale. The tube has two slots that go around the end of the where it plugs in to the housing. The slot at the end is like 1/4" wide and the one behind it is maybe like 3/4" wide. In the 1/4" slot there is a flat gasket that goes around it. The other slot has nothing in it but it seems like another gasket could go in there. I tried to plug it in with just the gasket that is there and it just leaks coolant. to make things worse it is all under the A/C compressor which is a pain to move. How should I deal with this? Are there gaskets that I can buy? What are they called? Should I use RTV? Thanks! kmpdx
  3. Thanks DaveT! Hopefully getting this thing back together and running tomorrow. Really appreciate it.
  4. Hi Guys, Chasing a vacuum and coolant leak and have removed and replaced the intake manifold gaskets and loads of other work since I found so many issues while moving everything around. So the bracket that the rubber fuel and I believe a vacuum line that run between the area near the driver area to the injector. There is a bracket that supports the hoses that was not attached when I pulled everything apart. Now that I am assembling I would like to attach the bracket back but am not sure where it bolts to. The only thing that seems reasonable in the intake manifold long bolts which doesn't seem right. I have scoured manuals, pics and videos. any body know where this thing bolts? it appears to only have one bolt hole. Anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  5. Cool. Going to pick up a new one on hold at parts store today. Will report back in a few hours. Thanks!
  6. Hi guys, Trying to get my Loyale to idle at less than 1000 RPMs. Sometimes after driving it and it is warm I turn it off for a few minutes and it will idle at the correct 700 RPMs. The other way to get it to idle at 700 is to disconnect the PCB from the passenger side intake boot. Here are some of the things I have tried. I replaced the IAC valve. The issue is both valves fail the test where the pins on the valve harness to body measures 1MOhm or greater but multimeter shows no continuity. Not sure how this would affect the functionality of the IAC valve but it is my prime suspect. I have tested the Coolant Temp Sensor and resistance does seem to bounce between 280-500 Ohm when car is warm. I have also gone over the vacuum hoses a lot and replaced a few.Including the PCB and most hoses. I am less suspicious of the hoses since it does idle correctly sometimes.I also wonder about the intake gaskets especially on the driver side but am reluctant to change them since one of the bolts looks pretty rotten. I just want to get it through DEQ smog test but eventually want to isolate and repair issue. Think it will pass with one PCV Hose disconnected or at 1000 RPMs? Should I focus on IAC valve? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
