Tranny cooler for your 4EAT
Works quite well for my POS
That's what i was thinking for my obs... before i put it on the front end :-p
get a massive one and throw it under there, and seal it right up w/ some foam stuff, people will think you're sporting a turbo under there, until they go to race you, and destroy you :-p

hey thanks for the advice guys.
i guess i'll have to see what the condition the car is in this weekend
-
Well, my dad might be picking up a TR2 relitivly soon, and we're not sure what shape the engine is in... i was wondering what sort of work (alot, i know) would be required to cram am EJ22 in there? yielding one hell of a fast 1954 vehicle
-
you can just throw some forester struts under there and get 1.5-2"
-
I've knocked my impreza around pretty good, no issues w/ the airbags....
i'd guess that you're really need to creame someone pretty hard to get them to go off... harder than usual... but then again, isn't the reason we put these onto the front of our cars, so we can we can crash through stuff that would normally wreck the stock bumper? :-p
-
I haven't had any headgasket problems w/ my 05 2.5T, at 72k, i'll let you know where i hit 150k :-p

You BROKE the swaybar?!?!
good job!! i've been trying to break mine for a while os i have an excuse to replace it.....
it should be an easy job, if i remember, it's a 14mm nut/bolt... but that may have been on the impreza.
other than that, you pop the end links off, then the supports , and it's free.
If you have noticed.. the outbacks have a ton of body roll, you can upgrade to a cobb swabybar and get rid of some if you want.

lol, cleaning your cars?
if i cleaned the obxt it would be just as dirty the second i pulled out onto I 90 :-p
if you're lucky maybe some of the pollen will blow off on my way over
just going to hit up the store, gas up, and head out in about an hour or so .. err... maybe... i forgot about that whole 'traffic' thing around the city.. .. oh well, i'll be there, got my directions printed out, i'm all set! whoah!
-
hah, the only person who's going to have to watch out for the watermelon is nipster :-p
As for albany, i think i'm going to park my car at the girlfriends' house, but stay in troy w/ one of my buddies, then head out to Schoharie early in the am, and then shoot down to the party
i got the watermelon!
well.. i'll get it friday night :-p
-
I'll uncivilize your hour!!
hmm... i can bring a watermelon!! ?
i'm heading out from here friday night to albany... and then down to the cookout after caving that morning... so need something that'll keep =P
is a watermelon cool with people? maybe more than one?

the plugs in the 2.5T's are a PITA
you have to remove like.. the windshield wiper fluid resivoir and all sorts of junk...
-
Connie, are there any fireworks going off locally that night?
Depends if nipper behaves himself or not.....

so, going along, floor it... and it sits are ~ 3000 rpm, it sounds like it wants to go.. but it doesn't,.....
so testing...
put it in '2' and hit is.. and it does the same thing
put it in '1' and it rockets.
so... it's not shifting right, any ideas?
the engine makes plenty of power when you tell it what gear to be in.
-
Aye, wise idea and you may want to meet of few members on the way or while your here in CO too...Double check everything and change any fluids that are questionable you should be fine. Plus your coming to one of the major Subaru states . If you want a repeat of what Andy did you can come change your oil in my driveway while it's raining and in the dark before you head back to the east coast .
That was a good time! thanks for the help
as for nebraska... yeeeeeeeehaw.... i don't think my turbo has even seen that kind of action before... or after.. for such a long time...
but yeah, that one cop, i know what nipster speaks of, so when you see signs of civilization, take the hammer off a notch, and let her simmer down a little bit until you're back out on the open pancake..
-
Well we can start with your car
you couldn't fit a cinder block under there if you wanted to, so you'd better bring some good floor jacks :-p
-
Doesnt that mean we have to put him up in cinderblocks in the front yard?
nipper
just make sure you put the cinder blocks the right way...
-
So what time are people getting there?
i have an opportunity to jump down some holes in albany, but that's not that far
-
change all your fluids, check your CV's, and have ALOT of music to listen to
did the trip this past spring break, it's not thhhaaattt bad.... well... anything west of illinios is as flat as a gage block... but yeah...
