Hey all i have an 00 outback, 2.5 auto. I was hoping someone could detail for me where the 02 sensors are located?! Are they tough to change?! thx!

Hey all i have a 00ob and the front two windows squeek and make all kinds of odd noises when rolling them up and down. They are power windows, they go up and down fine, just make a hell of a racket mainly when just starting to roll them down or just about when they are finished rolling up....any one have any ideas or experience this?? thx

well for me what's done is done...i usually don't buy into these things but did...such is life. I actually mentioned it to my little brother, who then went on to tell me that he actually got quite a bit out of his. I guess it's case by case, luck by luck basis...? thx

I've always been 50/50 on aftermarket warranties. Fortunately this one will indeed cover the head gasket issue, should it arise. I researched the company and they are very reputable, however being reputable and actually trying to get the "warranty work" done are two very different things...I feel with these it's kind of damned a bit if you do and your a bit damned if you don't. Either way, maybe it helps me sleep better at night or not sweat longer trips...who knows. I do know really enjoy the car, more than i thought i ever would!

Well Since I'm not the original owner and the MFG warranty period was up...i negotiated the warranty and choose it...especially with the head gasget issue...i figured it may be a good idea. What do you all think about aftermkt warranties? Any good stories or horror stories...anything I (we) should be on the look out for or in "the Know" about implementing the warranty, when/if it's ever needed. This may even be a good sticky as i'm sure there are many 2nd/not original owners out there!! Thanks everyone for taking the time to address this!! B

Gent's, description is exact (however i left out the part about drinking a beer while doing it) Yep it minimal, Like i said i have about a qte left in the 5 qt container so i should be ok but i just wanted to make sure. I looked overfilled the first time i checked it from the dealer as well, back in the day. Glad i have a warranty! (aftermarket anyway...hope i carry's it's weight...hmmmm that would make an interesting post...) thx __________________

is it a big issue if i overfill the oil on my 2k outback, 2.5L. I change it and bought one of those 5qt containers of gtx 10-30. there is what appears to be 1 qt left, more or less but the dipstick reads a bit above the full mark. I check it on level ground after having it sit for 3 hrs?!! It's says 4.2qts in the manual and there was approx 1qt left, based on the window on the 5qt bottle?~ What do you all think, i can open the pan and drip a bit out but it seems like such a small amt over.....there must be a give or take amount for engines...right, room for "error" or slight over fill in engines... advice y'all PLEASE!!!! Thx
