Hay do you guys think that i can fit a current moddel H6 (EZ30 i believe) in to my 92 BRat/Brumby hooked to a STI 6 Speed trans? Howz this then...do you think i could still fit it with 2 windmills??

i talked to the boys at work and they all concluded that the reed valve in the air injection system must be cloged up. also that the exhaust has not enough back pressure. so when i get some cash ill be making new extractors and exhaust out of 1.75mm stainless pipe and a new cat with a 2" performance muffler and hopefully it will come out with the deep sound im looking for without the poping and crackling!! sorry i inspected the AB valve and this has nothing whatsoever to do with the noise.

Yeah that cv grease is some good s*#t hay And i like to keep my neibours happy i annoyed them enough when i built my sub box the other week and my exhaust isn't very subtle.

Is it possable to put the rear axel, suspension, hubs etc onto my 1992 brumby without too much difficulty? I'd like to do this so that i can use the 5 stud hubs and get better suspension because i don't do very much off roading at all any more but i still love my brumby.

I didn't build them, i bought them from a performance shop when i baught my tacho. Mine is also worse when it is cold and it is very bad when i rev it past 4000rpm. Anit-back fire valve? Air injection system?

Is the XT6 the same as the SVX? I havent seen any XT6 Repair manuals at work only SVX.

Ok 6" at least i found out my cos was exadurating. but yeah there was definatly a flame i think it might be running to rich?? should i play with my mixture screw or shiuld i play with the jets or needle? when i get a bit of cash im gunna get a webber and build a custom manifold.

since putting a 2 " mandrel hiflow exhaust with a hiflow lukey muffler with a set a extractors and minus the cat on my EA81 powered Subaru Brumby, there has been a Popping/backfire type noise every time i get off the gas. Also when backing off (at night) my friends have seen a foot (at least) long flame out the exhaust tip. i have done no other engine mods to my ute. this is realy annoying, but everytime i talk to the boys at work (key motors subaru workshop) they tell me this is a normal traight of this engine design but i still believe that there has to be more to it than that. PLEASE HELP ME.

they sell like hot cakes for 10 - 12 grand full of dints and with over 100000km i got mine with 78000km on it with only one dint in it for 7 grand but i spose thats the market value because everyone wants them, everyone in the rual areas think the dumest thing subaru did was stop production of the brumbies. i might have to do a trip to NZ when i am looking for my next project. thanks for all the info

I wnt to put a pod filter on my 92 brumbies N/A EA 81 and im not sure how to go about it, i've tlked to a few shops here in oz but they all say it cant be done due to the type of carb on it, i was woundering if i could put the intake of the EA82 turbo on it and just bypass where the turbo would go. any help would be appreciated.

Hay i was readin about converting my brumby to RWD by removing the front cv shafts. my question is this, if i remove the shafts will this make my steering lighter? because as far as i know the brats/brumbies didn't come out with power steering (well mine doesn't have it and ive never seen one with it)

yeah if its not a clicking noise then it's probaly a wheel bearing the extra noise when turning is probably the extra force put on the bearing. you may wany to get that cv greese leak fixed or you could be up for a cv anyways.

oh thanks, thats with the single square headlights right? and just for future reference what years did series 1 run? did the 1800 go in at the start of series 2 ar a little later? Duh i should know these thing but i spose working on new subes and mazdas dosn't leave me much time for the golden oldies that are the fantastic cars we drive. :-\

is a 84 brat/brumby a series 1 or 2 and what do you think it is worth in Australian $?
