  1. Thats sweet i would definatly buy one of them ************ id buy 2 just for fun. no seriously i live in tropical north queensland in australia and there are brumbies running around every where. my dad use to spray sugar cane for alot of the farmers around the area and every one of them that has or does owne a brumby has said that the most stupid thing subaru has ever done was stop building the brumby. they also said that if they were to build a new brumby they would buy it in a heart beat. and personaly i would like to have seen the Baja brought to australia they would be good fun and handy:D
  2. Yeah i had a look at them the other day and i realy dont want to justify that sort of money plus id rathed do the engine build myself as a learning experince.
  3. Is it a cicking type toise?? if so it is probably a cv but you say that it is still there even when there is no drive from the engine on the shaft. Check your wheel bearings by jacking up your car and butting the car on a jack stand and grabing the suspect wheel at the top and bottom of the wheel and wriggle it if it moves excessivly it it is probbaly your wheel bearing. Is your cv nut on the end of the shaft loose? if not that could be your problem right there. i had that trouble at work one day on a 91 RS turbo liberty. i thaught the wheel was about to fall of cause the wheel bearing was that far gone but then i grabed the impact gut and tightened up the cv shaft nut and that was that problem fixed

  14. hay tell me what you think, i want to build a performance engine to put in my brumby. ultimatly i would like a 500Kw EJ25 twin turbo but for now i want to build a performance N/A EA81 with the current motor i have to minamise fuss. this is what i have in mind. Boreing, stroking, full head porting and polishing, custom intake and exhaust manifolds, webber carb, titaunimun valves and heiver valve springs, stronger con rods and push rods. i'm hoping to get at least 120hp over the standard 60 - 70hp. so let me know what you think and im open to sugestions. and for thoese of you that are going to ask why an EA81 to thoes i say because i can and want to work on a push rod engine

  18. on all older subarus it was eather 21mm or 22mm but on the new subarus it is a special torx size this was done to detur people from doing there own oil changes. :-p
  19. timing betl broke = bent valves the way i check is to renove the roker covers ond then the rockers ond cams so all the valves have to be open then i gut s spark plug of the porcilin etc so im lift wtht the bit of metal that screws into the head then get a metal hose fitting that will jam inside the gutted sparkplug then make sure it is sealed then get some hose and slip it on the fitting make sure its sealed then screw it into the hear and blow in to the head and if you can blow continusilay through the head the valves are bent if you cant the valves arn't bent
  20. if you do it send me some pics if you don't mind it would look mad i'd love to see it i thaught i would have to get a full custom kit made if this works maybe not:headbang:
