In general it wasn't running well it wouldn't accelerate worth crap and I had to keep it nailed to keep it at 60 now it seems to be flooding out

No noise from the cat, I have to replace the main pulley so I'm gonna take a look at the timing belt, and see if its off a tooth, Also my brother who is a mechanic for Killed In Action (kia), said he has this miracle additive that you add to the gas, the oil and you pump it through the intake, so We are going to attempt that also... z

Like the title says, I explained what my car was doing and he told me what to get, Carberator Lid Gasket, and well it took a couple attempts and a little bit of trial and error but it works a hell of a lot better now.

Now for some reason That seems a little bit rude, I'm not in a position to be lecturing but Please don't put people down, Some people just don't know, some people are new to this and are asking questions, I'd say 599 of my posts are asking questions, and now I know the basics of working on any subaru. now I come here for advice and help on any sticky situation I may come across.. Sorry for the rant. Zach

Failed, Almost double Legal limit in everything... Anyone got an emmisions exempt Address I could use?? Seriously though I need to get this thing tabed.. The guy across from the emissions place said that I should just get a new motor. but The very nice guy (can never remember his name But Drives the red turbo brat)at Superior subaru Said that most likely the timing belt is the problem.. any other ideas?? And if it is the T-belt is the 2.2 an interferance motor?

81 Dl Wagon, When the car is cold it won't accelerate, it kinda dies off. and when its warm its driveable but it doesn't like it unless you floor it. I have the 2 barrel pos, Bryan down at Aarons tells me its a carb lid gasket. others tell me to upgrade... and get a weber, But moneys tight as I just got my legacy. I'm hoping to have this one for play in the mud and snow... Otherwise I'm going to have to sell it. (taking Offers)

I was told that when I bought my 91 Legacy LS, that it didn't pass emissions. I have already done spark plugs, Denso's (because I don't like napa I wont get ngk) and a bosch o2 sensor, because the old one was funkie looking, I cant find an EGR valve on this car and Autozone says not required?? nor can I find a pcv valve... does anyone have any Ideas on how to make this pass emisions? I'm a counterperson and I'm good at telling people what they need.. If you go to autozone, Try and get a senior Autozoner, They tend to have a High turnover rate and most stores have at least one or two experianced persons working... Like I'm the only red shirt that knows what I'm talking about in 2 stores, because I shift between The Burien and Seattle store. -

(takes of RED autozone shirt) Most likely the Autozoner just went out and read it off the code reader, without verifying it with the computer inside which makes suggestions into what your problem could be, here in Seattle, I will call the dealership if some code comes up I can't fix And Ask for suggestions.. -
I hoping as this thing has studded tires and winter coming that someone will want the studded tires and be willing to trade... I know its a long shot. but even just the cheapo's will work.... I just need somthing until I get some money put aside... I.E. Broker than California... I've got 21 dollars until next friday..

I'm moving up in the world, I'm getting a legacy. the only problem is that it has studded tires on the rims. I need to get regular tires on there but don't have much money... would just any rim work or is this another subaru Specific? or does anyone have a set that I could A: borrow or be Trade a set of studded tires for? X by the way I do have something posted in the marketplace but I found it is more effective that if you need something to ask a question on the board for what you need...

For some weird reason I can't get the car to accelerate properly any ideas? Anyone willing to come out here to help one if these weekends? its sad I'll miss the show there is to much that needs to be done to this thing before road ready. I need much work on the exhaust but I'm trying to get this figured out before I start working on much of anything else. zach

I realize that. but it seems to jump up strait to about 195 and sit there even just idleing. that was my experiance today but I hadn't burp the system but I'll investigate more tommorrow. Also in addition to this anyone know what the little adjusters run $$ on the back brakes? or would it be better to go to pap?
