  2. Hi This is Jerry, i have an 85 EA81 hatch back and i drive 500 miles every week just to work and back. So with that i have installed a 93 imperza 1.8 engine everything all stock on the engine except air filter it has a cone filter. I use the stock Y pipe it all fit. I have a 86 RX 5 speed dual range tranny with 3.70 gears and a VLSD 3.70 rear also rear disc brakes. I am running stock tires 185/70R/13 now this is the kicker i am getting 38.4 mpg for now but i still have a bunch of things i want to do to get 40 mpg. The car weights about 1000 lbs. less than the imperza. Thanks Jerry

  3. Hi This is Jerry, i have bolth of them. The lsd in my hatchbrat well put it this way on black ice the back end will catch up to the front end, not enough weight on the back end. The vlsd i have in my hatch and black ice it dose fine thats why i chose it over the lsd. I do alot of driving on black ice every winter. Thanks Jerry

  4. Hi This is Jerry, all i can say is i look forward in going to the show every year. This year i will be there in one of my EA81 cars. I am ready to go now. The show to me is the time i can see everybody that i talk to all year long on the computer. Happy trails to everybody Thanks Jerry

  5. Hi This is Jerry, to get the factory tool cost way to much money i have check into it. What i did was get an old blade screwdriver bend the end of it using a torch to heat up the end of it so i can bend it. The screwdriver was about 6 inches long, took the handle off of it then clamp a vise grips to it. the adjusting bolt to the vise grips i welded a nut to it to fit my slide hammer. Then remove the C cilp from the piston then slide the screwdriver in the rist pin then slam away until the rist pin is out. But i do have the rist pin installer tool. Thanks Jerry

  6. Hi This is Jerry, i have an 85 hatch back with the EJ 1.8 imperza 1993 with a 86 RX turbo 5 speed dual range tranny 3.70 gears. I also have rear disc and a VLSD. Running stock tires 185- 70R-13 for high way driving now i get 38.4 miles per gallon. When it warms up i have a few more things to do and i am sure i will get my 40 mpg. I really like my subie to each is own. Thanks Jerry

  7. Hi This is Jerry, the car is a 86 hatch that i cut the roof off of and put the roof from a gen 2 brat also use the back wall. I had to lengthen the frame 13 inches. It is set up so i can pull the frame and install subie running gear back into it. The engine is not in it but it is set up for the 2.2 with the 5 speed dual range tranny with a short center drive line to the transfore case. I have way to much money into this project but i would like to get 3000.00 i also have another complete front end and it has rear disc brakes. Let me know Thanks Jerry

  8. Hi This is Jerry, if you look at my avatar you will see me standing by my 86 hatchbrat that has a sammy frame and running gear under it. The reason i chose the sammy is that the wheel width is the same as the subie has. I didn't want the wheels sticking way out past the fenders. It is just spring over no lift and yes it's that tall i am 6 feet tall. Oh by the way it's for sale all the fab work is done. Thanks Jerry
