  1. Hi This is Jerry, i have an EA81 85 hatch back with the 1.8 imperza engine. The radiatior is an early legacy and i use stock ej hoses. I made the bottom supports out of 1 1/2 x 1/4 inch flat about 6 inches long drilled a hole at one end to fit the lower rubber mount. I cut a slot in the lower support and welded the plates to the support. The top support i use the stock ej brackets cut them and welded them to fit the top of the support. The fan is mounted in front so it all fits. Thanks Jerry

  2. Hi This is Jerry, thats a good point on the obd2 but the EJ 1.8 wiring harrness is alot simpler and alot less wiring. I have bolth set ups and the 1.8 is alot cleaner not as much wire to deal with. Also i use the 1.8 exhaust Y pipe and cat it fit in my 85 hatch. Want to know more call me 1-509-952-2855 Thanks Jerry

  3. Hi This is Jerry, on the 5 speed swap over the drive line is 48 inches of tubing on the hatch back and all other EA81 it is 51 inches of tubing. Thats just the tubing not counting the ends because alot of people measure then differently. Thanks Jerry

  4. Hi This is Jerry, i have an 85 hatch back the set up in it is the engine is a 93 1.8 impreza fuel injection the tranny is a 86 rx 5 speed dual range with 3.70 gears with rear dics. This is no joke i drive 500 miles every week for work and i have check the mileage the last 5 times i have fill it up 38.4 miles per gallon. My goal is 40 miles oer gallon but that will be next spring when it warms up. You can see my hatch click on this year show pictures and on page 5 you will see a light blue hatch thats it. Thanks Jerry

  5. Hi This is Jerry, well i did so reasurch on the EA81 speed sensor and how to conect it to an EJ swap. The EA81 only had that sensor that came with cruise control so some of the EA81 cars don't have that sensor. There are 2 wires on it 1 black that gose to ground and the other is yellow with a red stripe it gose to the EJ computer. If somebody is looking for this sensor i have an extra. Thanks Jerry

  6. Hi This is Jerry, far cheaper to EJ it. If you look at the wcss 12 pictures there is a light blue hatch that has a 93 impreza 1.8 engine and the wiring is alot less than the legacy. I check the mileage and i am getting 34.8 miles per galon i am a happy camper. If you want to know more let me know. Thanks Jerry

  7. Hi Flowmaster This is Jerry, i don't know the mileage yet but i can say it is in the 33-35 i will know by the end of the week. My hatch has a 93 impreza 1.8 engine and a 86 rx turbo 5 speed dual range tranny and alot more. Come to the show and see it Thanks Jerry

  9. Hey Everybody This is Jerry, those lift blocks for the front struts are at the bottom of the strut so there for you don't need to adjust for camber. I have a set on my hatchbrat and they have been on there for 6 years i haven't had any problems yet and now i am driving it to work putting on 500 miles a week. The tires are showing no crazy ware patteren, at the top of the strut yes you have to adjust but at the bottom no adjustment needed. Thanks Jerry
