I have a 2004 wrecked in the front and back beyond repair. 70,000 miles. I would like to find a car that needs engine or tranny or both. Can you tell me what will take this 2.5 non turbo engine and auto tranny?

Any subaru 90-2007 ? N/A for ealier like 90-94 might require wiring swap. For obd2 can probably use stock ecu.

the easiest and most obvious swap is going to be the same year, next would be '00 - '04. the wiring for the trans changed in 99 for the legacy. the engines went to phase 2 in the same year but i'm not sure just what changed or if it could be over come for a swap.

Does any one know of any 00-04 cars that need engine or tranny or both, reasonablly priced?
