I thank GOD my husband was a mechanic for 25 years or else this car woulda been gone a longggg time ago! can't wait to hear your reponse..thanks again! EVOthis Posted September 23, 2009 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Well there is actually a TSB out for this sort of problem ( I work for Subaru..lol)..It requires replacing a spring and a few clips in the side of the P/S seat..I could be mistaken but I believe we charge around $55.00 for the parts and than around a half hour labor...I believe the bulletin is 17-10-05 If I remember correctly... No prob. dude....I honestly have yet to do one... surprisingly..lol..I was going over the TSB which details the replacement of the spring and everything and It looks like it can be done in under a half hour..good luck..
