car feels very on/off ish when it comes to accelerating and decelerating.

there is no mid point it seems.

 

think the throttle cable is too tight?

or any other ideas?

Does it idle OK?

Did you check the TPS with a meter to see if its within specifications and there are no opens?

 

Check the vac hoses as well

throttle could be sticking, clean the plate.

 

tune up - plugs, wires?

 

any check engine light?

 

bad TPS.

newish plugs.

no CEL.

it idles perfectly.

 

could anyone explainthe process to check the TPS?

It is also kinda surgy in the lower end of the rpm spectrum.

got a multi-meter.

can i check if the wires are good also.

anyone care to explain the process or atleast tell me what i'm looking for.
