Ok im planning a future engine rebuild for me EA82T. How should i go about this. suggestions on head gaskets. Ive heard of people using gold head gaskets i think it was. Also i wanna put in higher compression pistons. im only looking for like an 8.0:1 ratio. are there any shops that sell them? Suggestions please!!!!

By "gold" headgaskets, i am sure you are refering to "copper" headgaskets....they are pretty spendy from what i have heard.

 

I have also heard that it is better for a turbo engine to have lower compression and higher boost than high compression and lower boost.

Anyway, so you think the stock pistons will do the job with boosts around 13psi?
