06 Forester 60k on factory plugs

Recommended Posts

Just going over mtnce records for the gfs 06 and it has never has the plugs changed. 60k on it and runs great but obviously need to get this done.

Over Thanksgiving we're going to be in Denver and will have the timing belts and water pump changed. I know this is early but we don't get close to a good shop very often.

I'll have the plugs done as well. Just OEM Suby plugs? Anything to watch out for? Thanks, Matt.

Thanks for the replies. I understand that 60k is very early for the belts and water pump but as I said we're not near a reputable shop but once a year, if that. That being the case I would much rather be early than late, I'm not rich by any means but I prefer safe to sorry. As far as plugs go, the mtnce schedule reccomends 30k replacements. I'm planning on OEM plugs, anyone having better luck with something else?

Re: plugs, general feeling is that NGK is best for our cars. I've had good experience with the most basic copper (V-Power) plugs, but then my car is much older than yours if that makes a difference.

Also, consider changing your plug wires--OEM Subaru only.

Good luck.
