I think I broke a rear CV

Featured Replies

I was trying different things at an autocross and I thought since it was wet I could try the diff lock.... I couldn't even make the turn to stage. Now I have an intermittent click from the left rear... Lesson learned.

ouch.

Sorry to hear that.

My front R/H joint has gone.

This is the list of things I have to fix over the next couple of months:

* CV Joint

* replace all boots (they are split)

* wheel bearings

* rear bushes

* Front and rear struts

* Rack shaft

All up going to cost me around $1600 AU

So I feel for you :P

what worries me is I can't seem to find any replacements for the rear of a turbo. any suggestions?

find a reputable axle/driveshaft shop to rebuild it for you.

just because it is clicking, does not mean anything..........it probably just needs some grease ....

you will probably not find a NEW rear axle.

just take everything apart, and clean it up really well.then regrease and put back together.

i have driven on clicking rear axles for over a year before.before i regreased them, then ran them for another year or so......

just dive in,if you are gonna start breaking ************, you'd better learn to fix it.

cheers, brian
