What the hell did they do with it on a 2006/07 Forester???

Its my moms car and its not where mine is near strut tower....what the heck did subaru do with it???

 

Also...I was checking her auto tranny fluid and it is like clear in color without much odor...whats up with that and what kind of fluid is it?

They say the Filter is now in the Fuel tank- crazy if ya ask me. Anyone know how long these tank filters last?

They are supposed to last the life of the car. With the ultra clean fuel we have now I would tend to believe them, but maybe replace it every 100K.

 

Its realtivly easy to get to for being in the tank and the part doesnt cost alot.
