'91 EA82 Carby Gasket Choice

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am about to strip down my '91 L Series EA82 n/a Carb engine as I have a fair bit of oil in the coolant.

I have been quoted over $300 USD for a head gasket kit here in Australia which is ****** ridiculous. I normally buy a lot of parts from the US for a couple of F150's I have and that company have listed a Fel-pro Gasket Kit HS 9392 PT-2 at a much more reasonble price. However, it only mentions that it fits the Spfi version.

Does anyone have any ideas on whether the Fel-Pro will fit and/or ideas as to who might help.

Thanks alot.

Try looking for the kit for an '87. We didn't get carbs here in '91. Last year for carbs was '87.

Other than the carb base gaskets it will be very similar.

Thanks I'll Give it a go.

Rock Auto, I had to enter for a 1985 GL, VIN 5. This is the kit you'd need tho.

Thanks Doug,

That is the Fel-Pro gasket kit I had in mind and also Rockauto is where I get most of my parts from! Thanks for confirming it for me.

Regards
