my awd went out and am left with two wheel drive in the front. any ideas what to check to fix this issue. havent herd any noise or clunking or anything just all of a sudden quit.

Could be a bad duty-c solenoid. Do a search on "duty-c", "dutyc", or "duty c" and read up on them.

or the clutch basket sheered off the tail shaft extension. I've seen that happen about as often as the duty C going bad
