January 11, 201016 yr I posted this on the Historic Forum, but am getting no answers there. Thought I might try here cause this forum gets more traffic. Please check out this link... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107700
January 11, 201016 yr Looks like a thermo-switch to me. Does your car have dealer installed air conditioning? Could be related. For example (and this is just one of many brands/types) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350114184737&crlp=1_263602_263622&ff4=263602_263622&viewitem=&guid=6702a1ea1250a0437a53abb3ffd0f6fc&rvr_id=&ua=%3F*I7&itemid=350114184737 GD
January 12, 201016 yr Author Yes, it does have dealer installed A/C. I think I found a clip that holds it, but I still don't know if it should have anything attached to the end that has a hole in it. I posted a picture on the other link if you care to look and see what you think. Thanks, Bobby. P.S. That "Yeild" I bought from you is some pretty incredible stuff. Thanks again for doing that for us....
January 12, 201016 yr A clearer and focused photo may help. Looks like a readable paper label. A better pic may yield a faster answer.
January 12, 201016 yr It's probably just used to sense engine temp - maybe a high temp cut-out for the AC. I don't know enough about the first gen AC systems to tell you for sure what it is but I bet it's related. GD
January 12, 201016 yr Author A clearer and focused photo may help. Looks like a readable paper label. A better pic may yield a faster answer. The numbers on the label are posted on this link on page 1. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107700 I am going to agree that it is a temp sensor like GD suggested, and so did Moosens on the Historic forum. I think I will just let it be, since it does not affect how the car runs. Edited January 12, 201016 yr by bratgrl fixed link
