January 27, 201016 yr Was changing front oxygen sensor on my 98 OBW, and noticed this hose. Comes off the top of engine block (don't know what the specific part it's attached to is), and just hangs there. The pic is from the passenger side. Is it supposed to be like that?
January 27, 201016 yr If someone doesnt chime in, trace it back to its source and take a pic, then I can tell you. Otherwise wait till the sun comes up and I'll look on mine. nipper
January 27, 201016 yr is that the vacuum line that attaches to the bottom, about the middle, of the air intake half way between the filter box and the throttle body. you know, the one that slips off when you check your air filter and it makes it so the car will not idle, wants to die, until you reattach it. the other end goes to ..... anyone.
January 27, 201016 yr One goes to thecrankcase one comes from the valve covers. Im guessing that he isnt stalling its from the valve covers. nipper
January 27, 201016 yr Looks like the passenger side head breather. It is probably disconnected in the back, where it attaches to the big black box.
January 28, 201016 yr Author So here's a pic of where it's coming out of: Now where do I connect the other end?
January 28, 201016 yr There is one of those from both sides of the engine. They should connect to a T then connect to the snorkus (air intake box/hose) It will be under the box on the pass side, if i recall correctly. nipper
January 29, 201016 yr Author Hi nipper, Would that be the one labeled "blow-by hose" on the pic below? Should it connect to the box that I marked with red arrows? Thanks.
January 29, 201016 yr I will say yes for now. Its too cold and dark for me to look at the specimen in my driveway
