who makes the electronic swithc for drive by wire gas pedal?

Featured Replies

wondering who makes the gas pedal drive by wire electronics?

mine doesnt stick, but instead has a little hesitation especially noticeable when turning off a highway, onto a side street and then trying to get going after the turn, it is like it doesn't kick in when it is supposed too, kinda a lazy reaction to the gas pedal motion.

on the 06, but of course.

That hesitation may be a dosftware glitch or growing pains in the drive-by-wire. CTS doesnt make the gas pedal. SUbaru tends to cheap out on material waulity, not on the mechainicals or driver interfaces (fancy speak for switches and pedals).

Talk to a dealer to see if there has been a software upgrade for the ECU/TCU.

apparently there has been a software ECU update,

My problem is getting to any of the 3 dealers (all are 145+ miles roundtrip, and they tend to need the car for a halfday appointments, so my 3 hours drive time approx, and them getting an appointment, well, the dealers suck here.

and very glad CTS did not make the sensor switch.

I will use a vacation day for this i guess, will be lucky if i return with the car, and not trade it.

Man my typing isnt THAT bad, may be time for a new wireless keyboard.

just dont turn the auto correct on, that is the biggest problem.

thanks

I was wondering what Mechainicals are.

Hesitation is a pretty common problem in any car that has TBW. Most of the time aftermarket tuners are the ones who get it straightened out the best.

It's typical. The factory flash might help some. The final solution is aftermarket tuning with a tactrix cable and rom raider and ecu flash software, if you're willing to go that far.
