Check out the mud coast video. This event is coming up this april but no date is specified because of weather conditions. They usually give 1 to 2 weeks advance notice. Brent and Dennis had lots of fun last year and im planning on going this year. Check out the websight there donations are for a good cause but its not necessary to look at there videos and see what there about.

Will attempt to take BRAT this year. It was fun, hope this year there is more mud-there is sure to be mud with all the snow melt.

I might put a welded diff in to be smart.

Ive been trying to talk McBrat into going. The shock and awe of people seeing his brat would be priceless. If you feel uneasy about takeing your precious brat you can always hang with me.

there will be a lot of people struggling with mud this year. too much snow to melt off has to flood the dirt roads nicely. I might need to source some swampers, and save up for this event.

And yes, McBrat hopefully will go. Yhere will be some Jeep Club of Iowa members here most likely. We need someone like him to help assure we have a way out. This will totally trash the drivetrain, how old is your clutch?.

I won a award last year on this event with my Rescue Wagon.

  • 2 weeks later...

stilll planning on this.

Anyone else interested?

Mick, Ben, Dennis???hello

possibly... trouble with a floating date, is that 2 weekends a month I'm busy taking Indy to see his Mom... so the other weekends are dedicated to other house related priorities :)

But thinkin about it....

MudCoast Rally

Our major free event of the year to celebrate our season kick-off is one of the most unique rallies we put on each year. (Key word from last sentence--"FREE"). This event may very well be called "SnowCoast" for this year--so we'll just have to see how it turns out...

We'll announce MudCoast rally the week of the event--and it will be held on a Saturday. Don't worry--this Saturday is off limits--but starting next week--it could very well be any Saturday in March or April.

We'll meet in the morning for breakfast and then set out on the back roads of rural Iowa. With various contests throughout the day, rarely will there be a dull moment. Last year we explored Warren County in all of its Level B glory... this year....?

We'll eat lunch somewhere along the route, and try to get you back by late afternoon. We'll then host Happy Hour at 5pm for all of those that want to share pictures, find out who won the contests, and well.... help clean each others' cars... (just kidding.... kind of).

Keep your eyes out for the MudCoast Rally and get your vehicles ready...

bump this cause it will be held on a Saturday with less than about 4 days notice. Not sure which saturday. Maybe this should be in the Meet and Great section. would like to invite any other people from near Iowa to come to this. It will be hilly, muddy, and fun. I am getting ready.

doin a oil change, and got a new radiator on the way, and was going to change gear oil if its not this weekend. If its this weekend, then gear oil not getting changed til after.

I think within 2 weeks the cars will be called color MUD. A guy from work from the Jeep Offroad club of central iowa is going to try and go if he is not on call that weekend rotation

I talked to a guy at work with a lifted 05chevy crew cab. He said he would be interested in going.

It cant be that far out. Do you have any recovery straps. I might need to borrow some from my brother. Any news about dennis. Mick said he might but he has schedualing issues sometimes.

i have 2 recovery straps and a hand crank comealong, will bring them all.

I will try to get ahold of Dennis form the SVX site, although he hasnt been on for a while and he also maybe doesnt have a offroad car as of now.

Also, i hope its not the weekend of the 19th/20th, as I plan to be in Milwaukee, or OK City if UNI goes to either since they are close....
