akc Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 I was having issues with the car (86 subaru gl 4x4 gl) just changed timing belts (broken) when I took it all apart there were I am sure 2 wires on the sending unit .. GeneralDisorder Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 There should only be a single wire. If you ground said wire the gauge will wrap over to max. It's typical of these sending units to read low and to leak as they age.
