bgambino Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 hey guys got a 93 loyale spfi with a 34 on the ECM..."egr solenoid or circuit" Anyone know what that means? Is the egr valve bad? GeneralDisorder Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 The solenoid for the EGR is located on the intake manifold. The ECU is telling you that it has an open or shorted circuit for the EGR solenoid. It will not affect how the engine runs - you can either replace the solenoid, or replace it with a 33 Ohm, 5 watt resistor which will look like a solenoid to the ECU and the code will go away.
