April 11, 201015 yr hey guys got a 93 loyale spfi with a 34 on the ECM..."egr solenoid or circuit" Anyone know what that means? Is the egr valve bad? How to tell? Car seems to run okay. Bought it with 40k on it and had no spark...was a bad ECM. thanks
April 11, 201015 yr The solenoid for the EGR is located on the intake manifold. The ECU is telling you that it has an open or shorted circuit for the EGR solenoid. It will not affect how the engine runs - you can either replace the solenoid, or replace it with a 33 Ohm, 5 watt resistor which will look like a solenoid to the ECU and the code will go away. GD
