April 24, 201015 yr So I have some toyota wheels in my backyard that came off my 89 pickup. Im thinking abiut drilling them out for my subaru. They are 15's and i measured width from lip to lip to be about 9 inches. Just wondering if this is a width that I would want and would look good and not stick out really far. Or if i should buck up and by some pug 15's... just using it as a daily mainly with some offroad in there too... thanks jeff
April 24, 201015 yr Are you talking about these rims? drill em Edited April 24, 201015 yr by Markus56
April 24, 201015 yr About 1.5 inches define "too far" By law, in Oregon, 1.5 inches is too far..........without adding Fender Flares. Oregon and IIRC Washington tires may protrude a maximum of 1 inch. I haven't heard of anyone getting pulled over for it in a while, but there was a particular sheriff that used to harass wheeler rigs all the time for it. Landscape edging/divider plastic works pretty good for ghetto fender flares. I personally preffer the 88-91ish 4runner rims with a shallower offset.
April 26, 201015 yr I would say buying pugs is more like being a girl than drilling rims. Guys like risk and danger drilling rims has both(although very small) buying something that fits is girly! So there!
April 26, 201015 yr it was just a joke Uberoo but your right its not good when wheels fit right and run smooth.... no big deal Edited April 26, 201015 yr by 88Subi4x4
