the pics of the rust.. well thats the only rust on the hole car.. the rest is factory clean

 

now to get the 3at outa there and the 5-speed in.. hehe

what did someone back into something and just slapped in a new taillight but that is in pretty good condtion for what you paid cool:cool:

Not in bad shape at all... the rust on the hatch shouldn't take too much to slow down. If not, it shouldn't be too hard to find one to replace it, right? Defiinitely going to need to take that AT out, and slap in the 5 spd manual.

 

I love the sight of all those Subie's in the background in the first pic... along with that Ford sitting under the carport (love Ford trucks... got a '78 F-250 Custom sitting back home, rusted out crossmember, so we use it for hauling gravel. 400 under the hood, 4:11 tranny... power )

 

That back end does look like somebody slapped a new tailight on there, especially with the condition of the rest of the car.

Wish you were closer. I'd like to stash away a 4WD 3AT; mines kinda soggy. I'm afeared that with the new engine, it's gonna lose 2nd.

After talking with him earlier, I believe that 3AT is toast... that's given him the impetus to put that 5spd pushbutton in there.

for the rust, it does look like someone hit something and wrinkled the paint.. thats about all it did.. the tailight there till has a hole in it.. (has red tape over teh hole..)

 

but yeah, going to fix that this summer.. rest of the car is clean

 

and yeah, my 3at is hitting a dumpster when i yank it out.. doesn't omve when cold, gotta slip the piss outa it (5grand on the tach) to get it to finally go into gear.. have to shift it manually cause it shifts like dookie.. 2nd gear slips like mad.. its almost not there thats how bad it slips..

 

anyways..

Gee... one gets the feeling that you don't have warm feelings towards that 3at

only warm feeling i'll get for it is when i heave it into the dumpster, lol..

 

i did figure out how to get the tranny to warm up faster tho so i don't have to sit in the driveway revvin the piss outa it to get it to move..

 

start the car to let it warm up for 5 min or so in the morning, but pull teh e-brake and put it in gear.. only slipped for about 5 seconds this morning when i went to take off, not the mnormal 5 minutes, lol..

 

temporary solution till it gets heaved..
