First off thank you, thank you, thank you !!! I owe it to MANY of you. John, thanks for finding my motor!! You and grossgary were my saving grace MANY times.

at 3:05pm EST the 22 fired up in my '97 OBW. I have a little exhaust leak. The dealer here is out of gaskets and I couldn't wait. I tried some Ultr-Copper and it failed. Its a left port tiny leak, but its ticking. I'll get some soon. Other than that, the motor sounds great. I put the old EJ25 in front of it so it could see what a real motor sounded like ---you know, humiliation works sometimes :)

Anyway - thanks again guys. Any questions for future swappers ...feel free to pester me.

OH ...and the most important thing - NO C.E.L.!!!

Congratulations! That is great news and i can only imagine how happy you must be.

how did the vac hoses work out? any left hanging or plugged?

congrats on the swap.

ps: there may be someone on the board who needs a good head or 2. (but he may have already pulled his and sent them to the machine shop.) i'll have to look for the thread, you could save him some bucks and pay back your self some bucks.

nice hit, glad it worked out, that's awesome. don't run it hot or low on oil and the Ej22 will last a long time.
