1st gen legacy tires

Featured Replies

Whats the biggest tire on a 14" rim that you could put on a 1st gen legacy? I've been looking at other member's rigs, and it looks like a 205/75/R14 could fit...

any comments appreciated! :)

it will lift your car over 1/2 inch.

the top of that tire, 205/75/14, will be more than 1/2 inch taller / closer to the strut spring perch than the stock tire, 185/70/14. that's a lot.

put your finger up there and see if you have that much room. i doubt you do.

you might be able to get away with 205/75/14s

but i would really only go up to a 195/75/14.

been thinking of changing tire sizing myself on my legacy

My suggestion is to go with 195X75X14. It will be a little taller, without running the risk of rubbing front wheels when turning and hitting a bump at the same time.
